"A flank in the standard. The welcoming agent who also made the car during our visit was very pleasant and warm. rates are very correct. the condiments buffet was a little empty, but good it was only 6pm. to get our steaks from the corner of the grill, change of atmosphere, we had to make a person not pleasant and unprofessional. except that for the price, it is correct."

"It's a pity when a good experience quickly turns into a bad one. We ate at La Paix on a Tuesday, having just arrived on the ferry, and enjoyed the 'special' of cod in white butter sauce. The service was brisk and friendly, so it was natural to return before we left France on the following Saturday.We ordered the rump steak and it arrived in good time. Mine was fine but my wife's had a thick piece of sinew/gristle running through it. She couldn't cut through it, let alone eat it, apart from a few small pieces from the edges. We called the server, showed her and thought we'd made the problem clear. She went away but nothing happened. We knew we'd failed when she returned to ask if we wanted anything else. Our French isn't sufficient to argue the toss so we reluctantly paid and left.One very big shortcoming at La Paix is the state of the toilets. On both visits the men's toilet was out-of-action and had a notice saying use the women's one. That had no toilet seat and the wash-basin was unusable too. They are the worst toilets I've ever seen in a civilised country. Auchan really shouldn't allow this to happen on their premises. Needless to say, we won't be returning to La Paix."
