"There were some nice moments in our meal tonight, but the overall impression wasn’t impressive. The broth of the abalone soup was good, but the soup itself contained next to no abalone and was full of seafood extender (crab sticks). For the price, it was...disappointing, but, to the restaurant’s credit, it did actually taste Chinese. The wonton soup was another disappointment: The dumplings were OK, but the broth was poor. For main course, the eggplant was excellent. But the Beijing duck simply wasn’t Beijing duck. It wasn’t seasoned, cooked, carved, or served like Beijing duck. It was also extremely fatty, completely lacked the depth of flavour of Beijing duck, and the pancakes were tortillas. Nevertheless, it had the price tag of Beijing duck. Just no."
