"We asked the Tourist Board if they could recommend a restaurant serving local food, out of 3 possible this is one we chose we were not dissappointed. From an English menu we decided on something that had five components. A Spanish speaking American came to our rescue suggested that we would find one main course between us enough. It looked a bit like 5 sausages of different sizes, different filling all in a different type of wrap. Really good local meal We did treat ourselves to a delicious sweet for once, all this whilst a band of two played a xylophone great"

"Now is gone for good....went 3 times to give them a chance to make me happy, The food was AWFUL, the service terrible....the ony good thing about it was the price, but who wants to pay to eat something so bad? The lonely planet books should send less cheap reviewers and writers...seriously!"

"Definitely an Old Mexico sensibility: lots of tables looking out onto a green lawn, fountain, flowers. We had an excellent breakfast: coffee/juice/pastry and choice of a main, e.g. Tamales, chilaquiles. Outstanding value I think the charge was only about 55 pesos per person. When we were there it was not crowded, so we found it a good break from a day of touring. When it's busier, a man plays the marimba, and I would have opted for even a recording of that since the piped in pop music is really banal. But good place for breakfast, even if you leave it until 1:00pm, as we did."

"I went for lunch this time. Chipilin soup was really good. I asked chicken for second dish. It was good yet a little dry. My watermelon-rosemary drink was just ok. Service was average. The staff had some kind of talk going on while I was there. I thought the place would be a little bit more upscale, but wasn't the case. Not a bad choice if you are downtown, not necessarily my first place to go."
