"Estimados Lectores, esta Restaurante Hacienda es de lo mejor que he probado en el estado de Yucatán, a un excelente precio muy accesible, comida de calidad cocinada por lugareños de la ciudad, les recomiendo ampliamente, El Poc Chuc, Patadzules, y dulce de papaya, este bonito restaurante cuenta con una pequeña alberca para los comensales que gusten utilizarla, si llegan y ven solo el restaurante, no se preocupen, quédense y coman, no se van a arrepentir, cuenta con amplio estacionamiento, artesanías, palapas y restaurante interior, al fondo hay una capilla para ir a caminar y de paso ver a los hermosos pavorreales que tienen en sus jardines, por mi parte, ampliamente recomendado para hacer una pequeña parada y seguir con el viaje a la Riviera Maya o Merida."

"We like to eat in locals-only places, so we ask the locals where to eat. This tiny hole in the wall was highly recommended (and hard to find, it's next to the local police station on 21st street). you will need a car to get here.From noon to 6pm they serve lunch (two different menu items each day). The day we were there it was roast chicken (pollo adaso) and a local yucatecan mole with pork. terrific food which is exactly what the locals eat. During the hour or so we were there, they did more than a dozen take out orders, and several other tables were occupied.No english spoken, but you can point at the menu and use sign language.After 6pm they have a regular menu with papatzules, sambuches, cochinita pibil and other local yucatecan foods.You'll eat on plastic chairs on a concrete patio, under a palapa. if you're into local real food (not just touristy restaurants), this is the place to go.The sign out front of the restaurant is very hard to find (painted on the wall), so just look for the police station on 21st street and it's the place set back a bit from the street just to the right of the police booth (in front of the police station). If you have trouble finding it, it's about 1/4 mile from the "sports stadium" (equipo de deporte) so ask someone to give you directions to find the stadium, and then ask for the policia/ayuntamiento for the Colonia Fernando Noveloit's worth finding! and you will also get to drive through and see a real neighborhood how people really live"

"We went there around 21.30 and it was still open ! As it is a open area, I suppose it is better to come at night. The atmosphere is nice and warm with a cute little garden. The waitress is very nice. The food is great ! With homemade beverage (try the icetea) ! And really cheap ! A must"

"We enjoyed breakfast every day down in the courtyard while we stayed at Maria de la Luz. The buffet has the usual cold cereals, fruits, coffee and juices and features a chef prepared to cook your eggs or omelettes any way you may ask. Suggest you ask for meal vouchers when booking the hotel."
