"I am very fond of truffles so I sought out this truffle specialty restaurant. I made a reservation on thefork for when they opened at noon but it was not necessary on a Tuesday. Food was excellent, 5/5, a truffle amuse bouche with tuna, then a rich truffle cream sauce pasta decadence, followed by a strawberry cream truffle caramel dessert with real whipping cream. Wine list was limited, only two reds by the glass, they were out of one, the other was yesterday’s leftovers and tasted accordingly so I nayed it and got a 375cc bottle of St Emilion as an alternative. Service was very French, cool, reserved, slow, understaffed, bored, minimal, uncomfortable. The waiter never bothered to check if my food was ok after bringing the entree. Every step was unnecessarily drawn out. Two hours for two courses and I was the first one there. There were no napkins so I asked for one. A few minutes later the waiter swooped in and instead of delivering the napkin took away all my silverware other than a spoon, for unclear reasons. Though I enjoyed the truffles, I did not feel welcome here as a solo foreign female and will not likely return when back in Nice."
