"George's is an excellent place for simple Mexican and some American fast food. You order to take or eat at the counter and wait until your number is called: no tipping. There is a beautiful balance between quality, quantity and price. Get a George Burger and you'll be back. They use lard to freeze with, and as many items as French fries are superior to the point of taste. Everything is very clean. I've eaten over ten times here."

He told me all about the promotion, how popular it was, and the all Vegetarian KFCs in Europe. He also then made me fresh wings to go. Solid dude. I won't call him out by name, but you know who you are. Stay cool."

"What a great find!! My mother in law actually found this lovely little gem on Yelp. When you drive up you would never expect the quality of the meal you will get. The building is an old taco/fast food shop and the decor is modest but the food is off the hook. The menu is not huge but the offering is varied and creative enough that our party of 4 each ended up with a different menu item to rave about. My husband ordered the Spoon Burger. This grass fed, ground in house,beef burger, served with bacon jam and blue cheese on a brioche bun was juicy and so decadent! I had a bite My mother in law had the flat iron steak that was served laid across smashed potatoes with roasted squash and Brussel sprouts. The meat was cooked to perfection and she could not say enough about how fresh and tasty it was. My father in law had the pork porterhouse with homemade chimmichuri served with eliote salad (Mexican corn salad). The pork was good but the eliote salad was the star on the plate. I got the Mary 's Roast Chicken which came with Warm German Potato Salad and a cold fennel and peach 'slaw. ' Jesse 's use of local/fresh produce shines through and his use of fresh herbs and flavor combinations takes his menus to the next level. We started our meals by splitting a Roughage Salad and a Caprese Salad. Each were outstanding! We finished with the Butterscotch Pot du Creme. If you don 't save room for this delectable dessert you will definitely be missing out. Sometimes you read reviews and you wonder if they are just too good to be true. But trust me when I say this place is a must."

"A good rule of thumb is to never eat at an amusement park or zoo restaurant- they are generally expensive and the food is not good. But I was hungry, and I don't think you can come back into the San Diego Safari Park once you leave. So, my group settled on Thorntree Terrace, as it seemed to have something for everyone. As a vegetarian, when I go out to eat, I eat a lot of veggie burgers. And let me be entirely honest: most of them are utter shit. Finding a decent veggie burger is rare, and finding an actually enjoyable one is a miracle. So when I saw that the vegetarian option here was a veggie burger (priced at $16 for the burger alone! , I noped out of that immediately. Instead, I ordered the steamed rice and the vegetable spring rolls. To order, you wait in line and place your order at a counter. The cashier gives you a buzzer, and you find a table and wait for your food to be ready. Simple enough. The wait was short, and our food was out within 5 minutes. I was really excited to eat (not because I knew the food would be good, but because I was hungry , so I tore into my steamed rice as soon as it arrived. It was pretty good, but to be completely honest, if a restaurant messes up steamed rice, they probably shouldn't be in the restaurant business to begin with. The vegetable spring rolls were definitely sourced from the frozen foods isle of the nearest bulk food store. They were very greasy, and lukewarm in temperature. Overall, I would order the rice again, but I would hesitate to order the spring rolls again. Maybe the next time I'm here, I'll just pack a sandwich. It would probably taste better anyways."
