"Interior needs maintenance and renovation. Ok for fishermen coming in off boats but does not really compete with most restaurants on the island. Food listings were great but the taste was not that interesting could have been much better."

"We followed the GPS to this restaurant which is in an office park a little off the main road. It's a nice neighborhood but there aren't any views of the water or marshes. There was plenty of off street parking and the restaurant appeared to be handicapped accessible. We ate after the lunch hour so had immediate service with seating both outside and inside. This is a no-frills; no-nonsense diner. Customers order at the counter and food is brought to the table. Service is on styrofoam with plastic cuttlery. There are small tables inside which are adjacent to the cooking area. Not much has been done to create decoration or ambiance. I am just saying that so you know that the name, Sea Shack, should be taken literally. Now the the best part. We had the best food of our vacation at this restaurant. Not only that but the menu was more extensive than any others we had seen and included muscles, red snapper, grouper, frog legs, and all the usuals. I had the crab cakes. They were 90% crab with only enough filler to hold them together. My wife had the fried snapper. It could not have been tastier or better prepared. There are non-seafood items and choices for kids. We talked to some other diners who had blackened seafood. They said it was delicious. The prices were also a little less than most places in the area. This has got to be one of the best places around!"

"From the moment we came in, we felt like VIP. There are many restaurants here on HHI, and many of the places we had really good service, but this place was a standout among the others. We had a party of 17 people. The service of our group was as if there were only two of us at the table. Our drinks were delivered quickly, then all our appetizers came with no mistakes, then our entrees. No mistakes yet. Meanwhile no one had an empty beverage glass. It was a much higher level of service than I expected. Based on this (our first) experience, we can recommend this new restaurant to anyone who reads this review. The food was also really good, everything tasted good and was delivered as expected hot. The expectations were exceeded. We will definitely return."

"Wow... what a great place to get some really good BBQ. We picked up a sampler, with pulled pork, pulled chicken, spareribs and brisket. Everything was just great. Pork, chicken and brisket were really tasty and juicy. The ribs fell of the bones and tasted great as well. I also made sure, that we sampled all their BBQ sauces. We liked all of them. My wife's favorite was the sweet Hawaiian with pineapple, my favorites were the original one and the mustard one. Some of the best BBQ we had in the last months!"

"Meal was good. Had the blackened grouper sandwich and it was great, it was a filet versus being smaller pieces like most places do. Good bear selection and to my wife’s excitement, $3 sangrias today. Kids meals have good selection as well. Have a nice beer and cocktail menu as well."

"Would definitely come back! Food was amazing! Service was great! I wish I had more photos of what we ordered, but we were hungry! This is my way to get from now on when I visit! Live music is a bonus!"

"Found it by accident while filling up gas next door. Cutest little old style diner! Just missed breakfast hour but Philly cheese was very good. Loved the atmosphere and everyone was friendly. Locals seems to love it! I had a great experience and would totally recommend. I?m a Chicago girl so not easily offended I though the wait staff was nice lol"
