"A nice local, nothing special. eating is good, my fish could have worn a little more spicy. a lot of meat is obtained for sour wort. we were very happy. it was good to taste a bit of Alsatian food (e.g. sour wort, foie gras and wobble pie). our highlights: the hot cake and the steam-sweet! both very delicious. at the sour wort we had too much meat. the atmosphere is very nice, but unfortunately also quite loud. from outside the building looks very nice and also inside it is very well maintained. if you don't expect a gourmet dinner here (unfortunately it hit our table neighbors) you should be satisfied."

"My wife and I visited Ribeauville after a visit to Haut Koeninsbourg Castle, and as the hunger alarm went off around 1:00 p.m., and with many of the nice retail stores closed for lunch, we glanced over the Au Cerf menu, took a look at the "terrace" l'arriere, and decided to settle in for a meal.The two wait staff were quite friendly and efficient...I chose a "natural", i.e. plain flambee, was a perfect midday filler...and my wife opted for the spaetzel in munster cheese, was quite tasty. With a 25 cl rose wine, and Carola bottled water, we had spent 37 Euros, but we did consider it worthwhile considering the nice quiet atmosphere on a beautiful day, with friendly service, and nice quality food. Not sure why this has proven to be such a hit or miss affair per prior TA reviews, but we definitely felt it rated at 4"!"
