"When you find yourself in BGC, you owe it to yourself to try the chicken sandwich at Fowlbread. You can tell a place does something well when it has only a few things on the menu -- here it's pretty much a chicken sandwich and one or two other items (also try their garlic fries which are very nice as well). The sandwich comes in three spice leaves (mild, medium, and spicy) -- I've tried them all and I'm partial to spicy (and I wouldn't go lower than medium). This is an amazing sandwich with many layers of great tasting components -- at its core is the chicken which retains so much moisture, but what makes this for me are the next two bits. The first (health buffs, don't read the next sentence) is generous amounts of fried chicken skin -- which adds an amazing crunch and texture to the dish. The second is a really nice 'secret sauce' that pulls everything together. It also has large pickle slices (I don't normally like pickles, but it works so well here), radish slices, and a nice bun that doesn't detract from the main event. There is indoor air conditioned seating, but I like sitting by the bar stool area outside that looks into the kitchen. It's by a corridor so has a continuous breeze and doesn't get warm. Place has a nice set of beer choices as well -- always a great thing. I love the sandwich so much, I have literally been here at least once a month for the past six months."

"They offer large servings. Each dish would be good for 2 (to 3 depending on your appetite) people. Mid-priced dishes but worth the buck. I loved how the seafood olive pasta has the subtle taste of the sea without being fishy. the pilaf (shrimp) is good too. Not for daily eats due to the price (almost 600php per dish). Service was not bad but I wish their staff was more trained in explaining the dishes, a smile here and there would help too."

"Some of the restaurants we love are from RainTree and we were pleased to learn that PROVIDORE is the latest addition to the ever growing RainTree family. <br>

The atmosphere is awesome and we were served well by the very efficient, beautiful and gracious Kristal.<br>

She is not the only pleasant person there. We were also greeted with a smile by...oh no! I forgot to ask. I guess she's the manager. She is the one manning the pastry section. She really looks familiar. I probably saw her at Chelsea or at the M Cafe/Kabila Bistro or something.<br>

The food tastes great too and my only (almost) complaint was that the LOVE BURGER took so long to serve. I almost cancelled it, but I am very grateful that I didn't because it was worth the wait. It was even very juicy, besides being delicious, that is.<br>

They opened last September, but how come we only noticed it now?<br>
<br>
Oh well. Maybe today was the perfect day to "discover" it.<br>
<br>
We would surely return!"
