"What was supposed to be a quick middle-of-the -week lunch with a few local friends turned into meal I'll remember for a long time, thanks to the great food and great service we received at the Cochon Gaulois.The restaurant is bright, with lots of natural light, spotlessly clean, and overall pleasant and cosy. It's a bright contemporary style, so maybe couples looking for a romantic experience for dinner will be looking for something cosier.. The wine menu is extensive and has something for all budgets.The food is simply stunning. There are cheaper options in the 18th arrondissement, but here the amount of preparation, hand-work and attention that goes into each dish makes the prices feel rather cheap!The pork burger was easily one of the most original burgers I've had in years and yet came together so seamlessly it's one of those burgers you could have for lunch several times a week. Instant classic.The owner is a sweetheart, and his passion for his job is inspiring. My three guests and I walk out with a grin on our face, and two days later we were still talking about our experience at the Cochon, which is the greatest praise I can give to a restaurant."
