"I previously wrote a very positive review of this cafe/restaurant in November 2015. After an average experience last night, I feel compelled to write a new review.We live in Noosaville and have dined at Dhoms' several times each year, happy to take the 20 - 30 minutes trip each way. After last night, we won't be visiting anytime soon unless our friends who live near Cooroy want to dine there.To be fair, the kitchen is tiny, manned by one Chef and perhaps some other kitchen staff. There has almost always been delays with food coming out. I've noticed recently and perhaps it has always been the case, some of the dishes are a bit average. The larger problem is the service staff. I haven't seen Dhom for ages. She runs an efficient front of house. Last night there were two young woman working as waitresses. When we arrived for our booked table of 6, place settings were missing. We were not offered chiller bags for our white wine and other cold drinks. During the evening I had to walk inside and request a refill of our water bottle.Used entree serving dishes and used plates were left on our table for ages, in fact they were not cleaned up until the main course dishes started arriving. New plates and some cutlery were brought out but we had to ask for other eating cutlery. Two curries arrived first. We waited and waited for bowls of rice to arrive. I eventually got up and walked inside to ask for rice. The girl said, oh yes, I meant to bring that out. Waiting, waiting, eventually it came out and we could start out meal. A side order of a pickle arrived at the end of the meal and I told the waitress it was 20 minutes late and she could return it to the kitchen.At the beginning of our evening, my partner went inside and asked for a bottle opener to open a bottle of beer. After scratching around, the waitress found one and handed it to my partner to use as she said she didn't know how to use it!There was a guest at our table last night from NYC. The poor service we experienced was embarrassing.Dhom you need to employ senior, experienced wait staff and get rid of the young women. One senior experienced wait staff could easily manage the entire restaurant. Never say never, but we have no plans to come back."
