"By far the fanciest Vietnamese restaurant I have ever tried, but I have no regrets. You definitely want to make reservations way ahead of time since they are so popular. Service was a 10/10. Our waiter knew what he was doing and was so informative of everything on the menu AND off the menu. Yes, you saw that right; if you see photos online of a certain dish, it may not be there the day you dine there. The menu is constantly changing. My friend wanted the oxtail pho and it wasn't on the menu that day, but our waiter knew exactly what she was talking about and said that he can request it to be made since it was still on their takeout menu. As for the food drinks: drinks were good and they did not go overboard with the alcohol Le Fried Chicken Wings were crispy, delicious, and flavorful. Raw oysters were fresh, but not the biggest Grilled Sea Scallops were also fresh and filled with flavors. Sesame Shrimp Toast was so crispy on the outside. I don't know what the sauce that came with it was, but it was such a nice pairing. Pho 75 the Spiced Red Wine Braised Beef was amazing! Not sure if they continued to have the braised beef option, but it is worth the $14. The soup and sauces were so rich in flavor, but it didn't feel too heavy or salty. We even took the soup and braised beef to go since we couldn't finish it. The Pig The Lady is definitely on the higher end in terms of price, but the quality of everything makes it worth it. Truly was a great experience and would recommend anyone to stop by."

"We stayed here this past week and learned that this hotel refuses to hire back their cleaning staff that they let go because of the super scary pandemic. If you refuse to care for the locals and hire them back full time, guests will begin staying elsewhere.Things you can anticipate from a hotel without daily house cleaning: unsafe living conditions due to the scary virus, lack of hygiene products, lack of clean towels etc. All of these were true about The Modern.Stay at a hotel that respects the locals and provides jobs, not one that takes them away.Queue the generic excuse and response from the hotel..."

"Our favorite Thai spot. My favorite dish is the tom yum soup and my wife has tried many menu items and has yet to find one she did not like (her favorites are the summer rolls, masaman curry with fish, and pad keemau). The owner is welcoming and friendly, as are most of the servers (unfortunately not all, hence the 3/5 service rating). Finding parking can be difficult during mealtimes."

"Not enough stars to give!!! We just fall into this restaurant. We made reservations to another (Herringbone Waikiki we were not priority regardless of the reservation. So we went and land in this restaurant and ask why?! The last time we came here, it was closed. We were happy to know that there was no waiting time, we were welcomed by a very professional and nurturing hostess. In less than 5 minutes and amazed at the fact that they have different servers to accommodate you, and everyone was kind, courteous and with the food they serve, regardless of who you ask. Note #1 You must be willing to spend some money, but your experience and atmosphere fit the bill. Note #2 Food Standard is A . It is not an expensive restaurant with cheap taste and carefree preparation. It is an expensive restaurant that gives you the appropriate amount for the price and you can see the care and pride that they put in their food and taste. Note #3 Our bill was $498. some cents (not including tips, but not a meal disappoints us. To cook the free 3 spiced pommes, one in truffle oil match w/truffle aioli, ask for extra to take home!, a boiled in duck fat, and the last with furikake. (Sorry stole the image of someone else coz we ate it all before we can make a picture. Also ordered immediately bacon for appetizer (kinda stole that picture too a little too sweet for us, although Thai coconut curry soup (perfect and tasty, I wanted a larger bowl, and the salad (not too special, but the dressing was delicious (the pix too, but it looked exactly like that). Note #4 See the rest of the pictures we have made before we ate it.(not stolen from other everything was perfectly boiled, the atmosphere and our experience was great. We'll be back."
