"Fantastic! Ordered 3 dishes. Thai chicken salad is fresh and love the chicken. Seafood noodle dish was great. No spice for me please and they delivered! Mmmmm the noodles. Pineapple prawns wowzer! Addicting. I love just enough sweetness. Thank you for a great meal."

"The food here is GOOD. The Asian food scene is sadly lacking in New Haven, and buns n dumplings helps fill the dumpling-shaped hole in my tummy a little.I ordered take out with 2 friends and among the 3 of us, we ordered just enough food to finish everything and be stuffed. It took about 30 minutes for all the food to be prepared for us to pick up. The Shanghai soup dumplings were good in flavor, but unfortunately soup-less. They may have been prepared earlier than the other items in our order and while sitting in the container, the soup soaked into the wrappers. Similarly, the scallion pancakes were mildly warm and quite soggy/not crispy or flaky. It's likely they were made earlier too and sat in the container while everything else was prepared. The lotus leaf sticky rice, shumai, and fried dumplings were a HIT; we will definitely be ordering those again next time. The peanut noodles were okay. We had a lot of noodles for not a lot of sauce, so a lot of the noodles (especially at the bottom) were quite plain. I did really appreciate that there were actual peanuts in the dish and not just peanut sauce alone!The place is a tiny hole in the wall with one or two small tables at the front of the restaurant. I can't really see anyone dining in here, so I imagine it's mostly take out. Unfortunately, this does mean a lot of foods aren't eaten as soon as they are prepared--possibly leading to soupless soup dumplings and soggy scallion pancakes. 4/5 for the food; will definitely order from here again!"

"I’ve lived in Berkeley/North Oakland my whole life and had never been to this hidden gem! They were delicious and the food was very fresh especially the garlic green beans. They were seasoned so good and very crunchy. The service was fast as well. Prices are reasonable as well. I’m looking forward to trying something else next time. My order this time included the general Taos chicken fried rice and green beans, salt and pepper fish chow Mein sweet and sour chicken and veggies. Everything was a 10! Coming back soon"
