"This is our second trip to Vertical for dinner, and the food has always been excellent. There are thoughtful dishes and a lot of variety on the menu, with great cocktails and a lengthy wine list. Our server was prompt, informed, and friendly. I have one singular negative to report. The chairs at the high tops near the front of the dining area were so uncomfortable! All four of us are somewhat tall (5 '7 , and the height of the table matched with the height of the chairs was nearly impossible to navigate. It 's difficult to explain, but no body position makes sense. Your legs are either firmly pressed against the bottom of the table or awkwardly dangling in purgatory above the floor. We were able to laugh it off and enjoy our meals, but this seems like a significant oversight for an otherwise exceptional eatery. We will undoubtedly return to Vertical but will request a low-top table."

"Delicious Dominican food, server was very kind and explained the different dishes to any of us that didn't know what they were. I had the fried pork chops, white rice and beans and they found some ripe plantain for us to share too! Food took a little while but it was all freshly made so definitely worth the wait.Vegetarian options: The server and kitchen was kind enough to accommodate a vegetarian in our party by removing the pork from a mofongo order."

"Me and my mother Went out to this bar after a day of work and decided to have a drink on Sept. 17,2022. The Dj didn’t want to play any requested songs without a tip. When he was offered a tip, it wasn’t enough for him. So he decided to cut the music off 20 mins early. Now me pretty much just getting there and only heard two songs, I had a problem, especially when the bartenders had more of an opportunity to make more money. My mother was outside talking and complaining. I was inside talking and complaining. The bar manager talked to my mother and said he would talk to him. He walked inside and said the same thing. I personally touched his shoulder’s in a flirtatious way. He said don’t push me no more. I gave him a look because I didn’t push him the first time and tried to walk away. As I was getting ready to walk away, I get a fist to my face. And a fight broke out. Then they pepper sprayed me. After the police showed up and got envolved the manager slipped out the back door and left. Can’t tell you what to do but they are fighting/ pepper spraying women and leaving the scene"
