"Restaurant seemed busy but we were seated quickly. Food was average greasy and just ok. Restroom was extremely old and dirty. Waiter was rude and food order was mixed up. Had to ask twice for dumpling sauce. Find somewhere else to eat."

"Although my husband I were heading back home to Singapore the next day, our stay in Montreal would not be complete without a visit to the Satay Brothers! We had our usual mouth watering Laksa, satay and pork buns. But the Tempeh Burger is...my favourite especially after a month of holiday feasting. It was simply yummilicious! Good for the vegetarian folks too!"

"Tuesday dinner was at Maison VIP. The outside of the restaurant could use some restoration, but the inside was ok. <br/ <br/ Yay! A restaurant that understands that single diners need to eat dinner too. Boo! The choice is limited to only one full course dinner. For $13.95 you get:<br/ Won Ton Soup<br/ Egg Roll<br/ Dry Spare Ribs<br/ Chicken Lo Mein<br/ Chicken Fried Rice<br/ Almond Cookie<br/ <br/ The quantity of the food was abundant, and I barely finished everything. While the food was ok, it was a bit too 'Canadian ' for my liking. If there is a next time, I would probably stay away from the fixed menu. <br/ <br/ Service was very good."

"Wanting to try something new in the Village, we headed to that spot without any expectations.. other than having good Portuguese food.We wanted to sample as much as possible, so two of us shared a half-chicken plate and ordered three appetizers, we thought would be a true indication of the restaurant:- Sardines: They (2 are served) were full and not emptied, which grossed-out my wife. Otherwise, they were not bad- Octopus: It was only one leg. It was underboiled to our taste, so tasted a bit rubbery, which it's not supposed to.- Chorizo: We expected a sausage, either full or sliced in rings... but we got four (4) sticks. The look was pale-ish and the taste was missing.As for the chicken, it was very good. I though Romados had the best Portuguese-style chicken in Montreal... but this place is a contender. The fries were very good too.The service was ok. The wait staff was a bit disorganized on a non-busy Friday night. One older guy (manager or owner) was talking to the rest of staff from far distances, which was unprofessional as we had a hard time focusing on our conversation.I would go back... but only for the chicken.The good:- Great chickenTo improve:- Quality of the rest of the food- Service"

"As a Polish Canadian, I had high expectations coming in here. This place definitely exceeded those! Such great food, warm atmosphere, an incredible piano player and amazing staff! I'm definitely going back the next time I'm in town!"
