"We have came here 8 times in a matter of about 6 months-1 year. The food has always been good. I wouldn 't say it 's the best bbq I 've ever had but it 's good for corpus restaurants. Now the reason I 'm leaving this review is the lack of supplies and the horrible management/service I have encountered while visiting Salty Oak. I had a sit down with the new Manager Mark last time I brought our family for a Mother 's Day lunch. I explained to him that even that time that I was there they were ALWAYS out of an item. Whether it be sweet tea, pickles macaroni, it 's multiple things. He told me that he would assure that this get brought to the owners attention and they would be stocked up. Well again today I brought my girlfriend to eat when we were going to go to Rudy 's since we live closer to Rudy 's but we went to Salty Oak because we had a good feeling about the new Manager Mark. Again today they were out of traditional pickles like your everyday bbq place has and the drink machine was down. We didn 't get service until 15 mins of sitting down and that was after speaking to Mark making sure he knew we were back to visit and eat. He could not accommodate anything with us not being able to drink what we wanted and when we got up to leave and told the other manager with glasses and a mustache that we would never come back and he said that 's okay you 're one in a million, it won 't hurt us. If he had accommodated me for something he would 've probably kept me as a customer but not only did you lose out on the entire meal we didn 't eat but a customer and a whole bunch Of people to follow. Take care and GOOD LUCK Maybe this is why we are literally the only people in the restaurant each time we go and y 'all had a tv promotion going today to help boost business."

"Best cow breeze ever. It was so delicate that you could cut it with a spoon. It has a generous smoke ring and the Burtons had to die. Baby back ribs or just as good. None of the above meets the required sauce. Barbecue is a cooking technique not a sauce."

"This was absolutely the best Barbecue I’ve had in my life! Customer service was also really good. One of the guys’ working helped give us some suggestions which led to a better experience. We don’t have all that much barbecue options where I am from so it was nice to try something different. The food was so good. I wish I would have come here the first day in town I would have come for lunch every day. Value seemed decent for the quantity of food too!"

"I was home visiting family and ate here twice and both times the orders were wrong. I gave them a 2nd try thinking the first was an off day. The employees need to slow down and check the accuracy of orders instead of trying to rush people trough the line.Food: 4/5"

"You can tell the family that leads the place takes care of a lot. It is an older building, but at the moment you are through the doors, the smell of smoked wood meets you. The food was fantastic and her service was fast. They use glass soda bottles as BBQ seed dispensers! Pretty nice place to go."

"Julian?s or pretty good, I enjoyed the sausage and brisket, they were very tasty. I also enjoyed their Mac and cheese and beans. My only gripe is that with their poboys, they give you regular bread and with this meal, they also give you regular bread."

"Brisket was good. Chicken had good flavor but was dry. Pork ribs seemed to be from the day before. Dark and dry. Beans were good, potato salad had too much stuff in it, just not for me. Friendly staff and prices are reasonable. Would go back."
