"Chose Rabble for lunch on a recent work trip to Edinburgh. The food, the service and the restaurant itself were all great, I imagine the place looks even better in the evening with all the fairy lights on. The beef dripping fries are a must!"

"If you are looking for good BBQ I just ate at HICKORY HILL BBQ. So good.. We split the 3 meat, 2 sides 2 drinks for less then $20!!! Woot. Food was amazing.. For the meat we had the burnt ends, brisket, pork... 2 different bbq sauces. Delicious. Our 2 sides were smokey mac cheese was out of this world and cajun coleslaw very refreshing and not spicy at all. I really recommend taking the road trip south to try this place. I wll be back.. "The pork ribs were too good! I found it to be a bit sweet but it's extremely flavourful and the meat was perfect. It also comes with a bowl of rice a great combo! Pictures of what I had ordered and how I managed to eat the entire bowl! Would definitely recommend pork ribs. Also, thank you to the girl who waited on us and thoroughly explained the items on the menu Personally, quantity wise.. the entire dish was good enough for me. Didn't need to order starters."

"Left shaken by aggressive and verbally abused bar personnel. I have enjoyed many pleasant evenings in the last few years in the lioness until the evening of Saturday 5th mai, when I, my friend and friends were treated aggressively and abyssily by the bar person who advised he was the manager. my friend has made a vain decision to inform the bar staff, the male toilet was covered with vomiting and faeces the most bars and restaurants have signs in the loo asked customers to report with toilets. we were then asked to pay our food / drink bill, as the changes necessary until the entrance, we immediately paid and asked for another drink, because we do not want to create animosity in a pub, we...more"

"Food 8/10 Ambiance 8/10 Service 9/10 Pricing 9/10 The place was suggested to us by one of the locals. Its a small place, not to crowded with a lovely warm ambiance. I wanted to try a local ale or cider and the waitress was very well informed about the varieties they had. Extremely helpful for someone who is visiting the city for the first time. For starters we ordered the Pork Ribs which were just divine. It could have been a bit more meaty but the taste was super with just the right amount of saucy ness ! We decided to share a main between the two of and ordered the Crofter's Chicken, not wanting to dive head first into the haggis. It was fabulous! For a first timer trying Haggis its just the perfect dish because you get to taste the meat which is absolutely delicious by the way, and you have the chicken as your safety net! The two are combined beautifully with neither overpowering the taste of the other served with a lovely lite cheesy sauce. Our folks on the other table did order Haggis, which is not just a treat to the eyes but also to the taste buds. The service is prompt, the servers perpetually smiling and extremely helpful. It's very reasonably priced as well, as opposed to most of the places along the road. Had a lovely experience. I'll definitely go back here if i visit again."

"Having been to the previous incarnation of the restaurant on Dalry road, I was interested to see if they could recreate the same wonderful experience at their new location. Needless to say I was not disappointed The staff were very friendly and despite it being a busy Friday night, managed to create a relaxed atmosphere. The service was quick without feeling rushed Can't praise the food highly enough! Generous portions of perfectly cooked dishes were absolutely delicious. My steak was tender and not overcooked. No idea where they source the onions for the massive onion rings! The rest of the group were all equally impressed with their food, the salmon special was a big hit Will definitely be back again!"

"Probably expensive food with discounts for students. Options for taking or eating available. Unfortunately, my ribs were a bit dry and somehow hard to get out of the bone. Not the baby back ribs I've ever expected."

"Really nice atmosphere, very friendly staff, the new menu doesn’t have loads of choice but I had the pork ribs and they were so so tasty and the portion (1/2 rack) wasn’t too massive. The cocktails are lovely too."
