"DO NOT eat here. The lady who runs this place is horrible. We made a reservation for 4 people for Saturday night at 7:30. We were running a few minutes late so we called to say that we would be there at 7:40. We showed up at 7:40 and she would not seat us. There were empty tables but she would not budge. She was just RUDE and said that we called and cancelled. We did NOT CANCEL. There are other places in Honfleur but unfortunately we could not get into any of them because we had already booked here. I would be embarrassed if I were her. We live in California and we were just shocked at how we were treated. Where we live, people are friend,y and accommodating. This woman was just awful. I find it hard to believe that they are still in business. Customers should be treated with kindness and not arrogance. Three of us had fathers who fought at Omaha beach to free the French and this awful woman would not hold our reservation for 10 minutes. Please skip this place! Don’t waste your time or money."

"We went without a reservation and were pleased to get a table on a Friday evening outside, especially given the generous reviews here. Our Experience was spoilt by one of the waiting staff who I think is one of the owners! Distinctly unhelpful and...standoffish. Pretended not to speak English, which I sort of expect if you are British, but felt sorry for a Norwegian couple who spoke perfect English but not French I don’t expect the waitress could speak two languages so well! When pressed she could clearly explain the menu, she simply didn’t want to. Anyhow, ribs were delicious but when I asked for vegetables in French : this was dismissed as not possible, echoing another review. My wife had the cod and chorizo which could have been a nice dish but came with no potatoes of any description and was completely without seasoning. Nice bottle of Muscatadet. No entrees of interest, from very limited choice. We had much better food and welcoming service surprisingly in one of the highly touristy restaurants surrounding the harbour with far better views and ambience. generally speaking, I just dont understand why some French waiting staff actively seek to discourage tourism at a time they really need it, polar opposite to so many other countries, particularly Spain, bizarre behaviour….then I suppose UK waiting staff don’t generally speak French to welcome them either!"
