"We were getting tired of the same 3 options for Friday night dinner and wanted to try something new. I had bookmarked Jack’s right after they opened, but never made it until now. Boy do I regret waiting this long. This could’ve made covid lockdowns better, but better late than never.We got a family meal: St. Louis ribs, brisket, Mac and cheese, and coleslaw. The ribs were so so good. They were tender and flavorful and do not need to be sauced. Brisket was great, especially with the sauce. I also really enjoyed the apple jicama coleslaw. Washed it all down with an IPA and that was what I’d call a successful Friday dinner.Jack was incredibly friendly and helpful. All covid safety protocols were followed: masks, gloves, etc. They have two tables outside if you wanted to eat there instead of taking it home.Portions were generous, food was tasty, service was friendly. Basically everything that you want out of a neighborhood staple."
