"We visited an early dinner on Tuesday 6 December 2022. The exterior is very nice, with a beautiful outdoor terrace (seasonal and lots of lighting outside to create an almost magical environment. The interior is beautiful, large and open and can clearly accommodate... big parties (fitting for large family dinners, etc.). If you're looking for an intimate atmosphere, I wouldn't suggest the dining room (follow the lounge area?). Personally, the restaurant was too big for me (Party of 2. Where we were sitting, was almost in the middle of the restaurant and because it just started filling, we could hear the servers talking to each other about their weekend, etc. Don't get me wrong, of course, that's quite normal with employees, but because where we sat, that took away from the ambience. My server was pleasant, but very shy, that was a strange combination and interaction felt very unpleasant. The drinks were very good and the food was moderate (at least what I had ordered). Both my partner and I found the food very salty. I'm not sure if the kitchen had a "off" night (Fireside has to do something the right to keep in this industry for 22 years, or maybe it was dishes we had ordered. I should add, we are definitely food and dinate on average 3 times a week. We are very able to recognize a great restaurant experience, unfortunately our experience at the Fireside was average. Will we come back? Not sure, maybe if we're looking for a bigger party, but for only the two that both, probably not."
