"What a gem of a place. Found it by chance by strolling by. We had a fantastic brunch, so tasty, all local produce, very reasonable prices. Friendly and welcoming staff and service. Highly recommended"

"I am aware that our geographic survey in all edinburgh is not entirely what it could be and will be from where we tend to spend most of our time. So when there was an opportunity to lunch in polwarth, I jumped by chance. for the first time the queen vicky had suggested the piecebox that sounded good to me. I had visited one because the nearby odds ends, and I heard good dinge about streat hawker in the polwarth tavern, but that is otherwise quite unexplored territory for me."

"Needless to say one of the best eggs benedict i ever had. The menu uploaded here needs a revamp as they have added few dishes. Eggs benedict with mozzarella,tomatoes and basil sauce PERFECT . They were more than willing to incorporate your request if u need any changes, i ask the ramen burger with a veggie twist which was not in the menu, however they obliged, unfortunately it wasn't that great. They made fresh vanilla cheese cake which was worth a try, pancakes was ok nothing great In the end, i would say this is an ideal breakfast place, i had been for lunch though !"

"We were visiting Edinburgh from the USA and were very impressed! Don't be deterred by the one or two negative reviews below...this place is lovely. It's welcoming, warm, and cozy. It also had the best espresso out of all the spots we tried in Edinburgh...which is saying a lot because good coffee in the UK is hard to find, in our experience. The food is delicious and you can tell it's made with love. Finally, you must try their Victorian Sponge Cake.....it was AMAZING."

"Myself and 2 friends ate in the restaurant. Couldnt fault anything, food service all amazing. We had 3 courses each all delicious. My pineapple pudding with chilli and lime and coconut icecream was so tasty. Would definately recommend to friends and would return again."
