"Excellent coffee which was lovely and strong. The Portuguese custard tart very yummy indeed. Could have eaten many things from the counter. Very knowledgeable staff too."

"Me and my partner went in Sunday 15/01/2017 for brunch. We had a nice table in the outside area. We ordered egg Benedict with bacon and for myself: eggs on fire with fried eggs. Not too long later our breakfast cane out together , but when waiter said eggs on toast with bacon , we just simple said that he ordered eggs Benedict . Both meals went back . Then my partners meal came out again. But they just simple add Hollandaise sauce on it . Then my meal came at the same time , but they had put poached eggs on it. So that one went back again . Ending up that my partner half his meal by himself . When my meal came back out , it was cold and the fried eggs were quick slabt on the plate. Turning the eggs around you could see the hadn't clean the got plate properly as the bottom of the eggs had black grease on it . Also the bacon was very quickly cooked on the same grill , so parts of it wasn't cooked enough. <br>

"My partner and I went to The Local Shack in Scarborough this morning. Firstly let me just acknowledge the staff... greeted with friendly faces and genuinely happy staff. They looked like they all loved working there (which you don't normally see in hospitality). Second credit to the chefs... I had The Wipeout and my partner had The Brekky Bowl. Our only regrets were that we didn't take pictures to share before diving in and stuffing our faces!<br>

"Great service would highly recommend. Got the cheeseburger and beer deal on a Saturday and also got a serve of hot wings and nachos to share. All the food was delicious and good value for money, also came out super quick which was awesome. Would recommend"

"Really great food with friendly, helpful staff. We had the Carvery and a pie and both were really wonderful. The Carvery had three choices of meat and a great choice of veggies and sides new potatoes, roasties, cauliflower cheese, red cabbage, broccoli, carrot and...swede mash, sausage meat stuffing, yorkshires, amazing! Pie was homemade as were the chips good sized portion and great value at for the two meals. Staff really helpful came and told us when the pie was being plated up so I could get my Carvery, that’s great service."

"If you're looking for authentic canto dishes for reasonable prices, this is definitely one of them. Situated in the southeast corner of Steeles and Brimley Ave, parking can be a pain. The plaza is tiny, limited parking spots and tight to manoeuvre around. This place gets busy. If you don't make reservations, you can leave your number and they'll call you when the table is ready. We came here on a Sunday at 5:30pm (thinking we're pretty early to beat the crowd) but we were wrong. We waited 20 minutes for a table. They have complimentary peanuts, soup and Chinese desserts at the end of your meal. Overall a good place for a family dinner or lunch. Not a big restaurant roughly 13 tables. Great service, waitresses are all friendly and attentive."
