"Die von uns vier Gästen heute Abend gewählten Speisen, vornehmlich von der Wildkarte, klangen vielversprechend. Das meine - Gnocchi mit Kürbis und Gorgonzola-Sauce - war auch sehr lecker. Ein originelles Rezept, gut umgesetzt. Bei zwei servierten Essen allerdings war von vorne herein deutlich, dass die Küche nicht sorgfältig arbeitet: Sowohl die Begleit-Spätzle bei der Wildschwein-Roulade als auch die Wild-Maultaschen waren einfach KALT. Eine entsprechende Intervention bei der netten Service-Kraft zog eine Entschuldigung nach sich und die Speisen wurden in der Küche einer erneuten Wärmebehandlung (Mikrowelle?) unterzogen. Bei dem dritten Gericht - Krautwickeln - fiel es erst später auf, dass eine der Kohlrouladen ebenfalls einfach richtig KALT war. Es war dann zu spät für uns, sie aufwärmen zu lassen, mein Mann hat sie halt nicht gegessen. Die Knödel waren heiß, so wurde er auch so satt.Als "Trostpflästerchen" wurde uns ein Espresso angeboten, den wir nicht wollten. Letztlich bekamen wir vier Probiertütchen Schoko-Kekse. Eine Reduzierung der Rechnung stand nicht in Rede, wir haben regulär bezahlt.Und sind bedient. Dort essen wir nicht mehr. Schade, denn die Atmosphäre im Berrenrather ist eigentlich nett, die Ideen der Küche originell. Aber so etwas geht GAR NICHT. Vor allem schien es so, als wären die kalt servierten Gerichte nicht nur "Ausrutscher", denn immerhin traf dies auf drei von unseren vier Essen zu. Kann das noch ZUFALL sein?"

"I chose a restaurant from the pedestrian old town to avoid a tourist trap. Being French has attracted me. I came and was kindly greeted by the waitress. Since I don't speak German, I was glad to learn that she speaks English well. The restaurant room is beautiful, simply furnished and with rustic furniture. for the atmosphere, a French radio plays, you like it or not, I was happy with some parts (nostalgia when I lived in France), but for others it was not really nice. Well... For the food I ordered the nb 9: crepe Viande et Champignons . When the crepe arrived, I was first disappointed by the presentation, not really appealing, crepe simply folded twice, a single spoon salad over it. Let's try: as per appearance, the dough used is nothing like the dough used for savory crepes in France, it is more like the dough used for dessert crepes. The filling, mixture of ground meat, slices mushrooms, tomato sauce and cheese is quite simple, not really delicious, the filling Qty is too much and too wet. the crepe is definitely not in demand with the 13.40€ price, it can be ok for half price. After my crepe, I'm full, even though I don't enjoy it. Sad. Oh, and no water served on the table when I asked for water, I got a 2,60 €, 25cl bottle... that's over 10€/L lower line, I wouldn't recommend for this kind of price."
