"A good restaurant to have dinner. The menu is not very extensive but has vey good selections. Plates are medium size. You definitely want to order an entree , soup and main course. There is also a degustation menu but didn't try it. The dessert were amazing. The only problem for me was the service. Our reservation was at 5 pm and the restaurant closed at6pm. And the waiters reminded us this every two seconds. Which for me was very rude. I even asked them to stop telling us this and take our order. But other than that the food was very good and I really like it. So I recommend it."

"We had already been to Kaah Siis in the past, and food has always been excellent and imaginative; but the place felt somewhat cold. Now they changed their name to Raíz, and the place seems to have flourished. Food is still excellent, still as imaginative; but the restaurant now is abuzz with a different, welcoming atmosphere. We ate some of the best dishes in a restaurant of its category for a reasonable price, and were delighted with the attentive and personal (but discreet) service.Drinks were great as well, mostly we ordered different mezcales.Desserts are not to be missed!"

"I heard about this place when the Mexican President took the Indian PM here for dinner. I put it on my must check out list, and after a wait of 3 weeks, snagged a table. Right from the time I walked in, I was treated to an experience. The staff, the location, the ambience and above all knowing that I was dining in a place that my PM (someone who I greatly respect) had visited, added to the charm. However, when the food started arriving, all else was forgotten. Somehow the chef has mastered the art of bringing out subtle flavors to the fore. You can taste each ingredient, yet get a sense of the overall symphony that is produced. My 3 course meal became a 6 course meal with complimentary courses, each more amazing than the next. Wrapping up with the molten chocolate cake, this was a meal that I will remember for life!"

"Food is good, specially tapas, but extremely expensive compared what they offer. Is not a great value for money. It's not full of clients like other great places and expensive ones in this Polanco área so this says a lot. For dinner we were just...two tables with clients and the rest of the restaurant was empty..............."
