"Have been wanting to visit Kentaro since they opened and when they came out with this omurice rendition it was the final push I needed.<br>

Went all out and ordered a drink - it's my first time having a houjicha latte, but I've consumed houjicha before in the form of Kit Kats and soft serve ???? This houjicha latte was OK - the tea flavour was rather muted for my liking and perhaps not quite smooth enough. It comes unsweetened so you can add brown sugar to your discretion.<br>

The Kentaro style omurice ($18) consists of tomato fried rice with peas, bacon, cheese, wrapped in an omelette and ladled with dark miso mushroom gravy. The eggs are silky, with a salty bite from pieces of tasty cheese, and umami from the miso mushroom gravy. The miso gravy reminded me a lot of the black bean sauce used in jajangmyeon. My partner and I wanted to join the truffle event, but missed. This was our second attempt to land on this little gem. We had the $ 55 per person consisting of a starter, a main and a dessert. Grief

There were many elements on each plate that complements each other. We had the Scallop Ceviche and the Spice and Macadamia crusted Berkshire pork for starters. And as a starter we were provided with a cheese pastry and a potato skin with Nori Aioli - I usually jump for joy when I see Nori, but not this time, when the smell of the sea was only overwhelming. For web we had a coal-grilled duck breast and a grilled black Angus Sirloin. I had a taste of the grilled duck and it was beautifully done! The crispiness of the skin and the pink meat, melted in her mouth. The lumbar tooth, although he was cooked again, was normal in comparison to the duck. Had a side of grilled zucchini with capers and creme fraiche. The pre-dessert was a reproduction of a smooth without chocolate. "These guys are turning the dining game on its head with a menu that changes daily and consists of only one main and a selection of share snacks. The idea is a European one (aren't all the best ones?) and is meant to make an evening with friends more enjoyable because you don't have to worry about choosing what to eat. We're terrible at making decisions so this works for us! <br>
The food is innovative and made of only the freshest seasonal ingredients, the space is very chic and the staff (and the owner herself) are so lovely. This is such a great idea and we can't wait to go back and see what they've cooked up next! Grab a couple of friends, bring a bottle of wine and you're in for a good night.
