"We visited this restaurant to celebrate our 13th Wedding anniversary. Wanting somewhere nice to celebrate the occasion we were drawn to ‘Casa Villa’ due to its nicely set up website and professions of ‘locally sourced’ ingredients and vegetarian friendly menu (my wife is vegetarian). The restaurant is actually very well presented, just at the corner of the square in Porte de Pollenca. When we arrived at 8:30pm it was reasonably busy and we were offered a table either inside or out, we went inside So far so good… we ordered some drinks and food at the same time. This is where things started to go down hill My wife ordered bread and I had the fried calamari for starters oddly the calamari arrived two minutes later, even before the bread. It was rubbery and without any batter, not wanting to spoil the evening I ate it anyway and was half way through before the bread arrived. Forgivable but not great. Next, for mains my wife had the pizza and I ordered the lobster/seafood ravioli the pizza looked great, the ravioli on the other hand was dreadful. Firstly the sorry thing looked like it had been under the pass for ten minutes; the sauce had started to develop an unappetising skin across the top… the ravioli itself was undercooked and hard, the filling spilling out. The mussels were also over cooked and left with the rough and inedible beards attached. This, however, was nothing compared to the fact the clams were off and rancid. I spat it back onto the plate much to my wife’s surprise… on complaining to the waiter I was asked if I wanted another one… errrr no. He then went on to tell me that the food was perfect and I was complaining for no reason… he was rude and aggressive with it. In the end they agreed to make me a margarita pizza the same as my wife had. We were compensated with two free drinks. The bill arrive I paid for what we’d eaten and left. To add insult to injury the same aggressive waiter followed me out of the restaurant claiming I needed to pay… this place is awful, unless you want a pizza and enjoy being abused by the waiting staff I would highly recommend you avoid."

"My wife an I,came across Bar Bon Dia,towards the end of our holiday last year and vowed that If we returned this year,we would become regulars,such was the excellent service and food on offer. A year later on,we returned to Puerto Pollenca again and we kept to our word and became regular visitors,to this fantastic and efficient establishment. The food always arrived freshly cooked and was always delicious,hence the reason for return visits..! A varied menu from Breakfasts to Light Snacks Is available and they now also offer Curry and Fish and Chip Nights as well.....Happy Days !! The service from Andy and his Staff was always spot on and there were certainly no complaints from us or anyone else we seen there on our regular visits. There was also ex pat regulars In for a Pint or three and with the amount of establishments In the resort selling drink,It Is always assuring to see people who live there,use the same place over and over again. Thanks very much for everything again and God Willing ,we shall be back In Puerto Pollenca next summer again and shall again become regular visitors to Bar Bon Dia. Adios Andy and Claire and hope to see you next year."
