"We went there because of the good reviews online. However, it was definitely overpriced for its quality. We wondered if it were boiled meat rather than bbq. I wasn't gonna say anything but I kept getting these emails from the restaurant to give a review on tripadvisor. so here it is."

"I got a call from Tom George to say they wouldn't serve brunch during the summer months, only dinner. The hostess was very nice and asked me to postpone dinner which I did. The hostess also offered my group a round of drinks for the inconvenience. So I arrived at the restaurant at 6 p.m. on Sunday because I wanted to celebrate Father's Day with my family and the restaurant was closed. We were very surprised and disappointed. The restaurant didn't call the next day and I decided not to eat there again. So I went to the LA Chapter at the Ace Hotel on Sunday and we had a lovely dinner that I knew I would because I've been there before. I don't know whose responsibility it is at the open table to be sure that the information about a restaurant is current and accurate, but nothing like this has ever happened to me in a restaurant."

"Good not amazing. Tapas not worth the price... hit and miss items...imo these kinds of places should have amazing food in each and every plate. Been to others that were amazing each plate. Most obviously treated white pretentious customers better than us and we were the only two tables seated"

"Went there tonight. I got there at 7:40 but they refused to seat us saying that they were closing in 20 minutes. Physically the place is dingy and depressing at best. Don't take a date unless you want to end the relationship. The fish was...first class. We ate in the car. The cole slaw was dreadful unless you love excess vinegar and pepper in your food. The chips were also excellent. The soup is forgettable. The staff were uninterested bordering on rude. In summary, while it would be hard to find such good quality fish in Toronto, the negative factors outlined above tipped the balance against ever returning to this place again."

"We made reservations here and arrived on time, but the hostess told us she'd have to get our table ready even though there were 2 other tables already set. While we waited those few minutes, though, another party arrived without reservations and were seated at one of the ready tables - a preferred spot near the open windows rather than the one towards the back which was being set for us. I thought that was odd, but as an older woman, I get that treatment occasionally (even in today's 'enlightened' world). I enjoyed the shrimp ceviche I'd ordered but the chicken burrito - which was more like a stew - was a little too spicy for my daughter; we both especially liked the guacamole, however. I'd ordered the Loco Margarita which I thought was too fruity and would have enjoyed a traditional one more. The restaurant is painted in vibrant, almost garish colors, and there's lots to look at which is good considering that the noise level was so high we couldn't carry on a conversation. Generally, though, the food is good and not your typical Mexican fare. We did have a problem with our server - she was very slow, and finally I had to remind her that we had theatre tickets that night, after which we had different people serving us."

"Might be one of the best patios in Toronto. Fantastic location, especially in the summertime. Service was friendly, but not super fast. Food was pretty good. The home fries were great. Good for kids outside) except the kids meals were kind of pricey in comparison to other. $12). But it is now one of my favourite patios in the city!<br/"

"I had such a horrible experience here for lunch with my girlfriends. Please think twice before choosing this place. Firstly, the food took ONE FULL HOUR to arrive at our table. (and others as everyone was complaining around us) As we were leaving I noticed a large smear of icing on my coat hood. There was icing on the back of my sweater and on the bottom of my coat. I notified the owner that one of the waitresses dropped icing on me and didn 't bother to tell me and he said , oh sorry (half-assed apology) and walked away . Then a waitress came and tried to take it off my coat with an old rag. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE. THEY RUINED MY COAT AND SAID NOTHING ABOUT IT. I expressed how upset and unhappy I was with my visit and they did not even say anything. Bad service and they ruined my coat without remorse or making it better. No one in my group will be returning to this place."
