"Disappointing. This is my favorite venue and it really did not meet expectations. First, the table near the bushes was buggy, and we were bitten by mosquitos. Second, the food came very slow. This was a mid-week late night dinner, and it was not at all busy. The appetizers took more than 45 mins to come out, and then the main course another 30. We only ordered very simple items, and felt like we were waiting and waiting for our food. We were served water often which was nice, but only bread one time and not offered any additional bread than once. We also waited for the check while our server was chatting in the corner. For a Jean Georges restaurant, the overall night was disappointing. The food was delicious, as it always is, but I'm not planning to return for a long while. Sorry."

"What a spectacular meal! My mom and I were visiting NYC and my mom is a big fan of Tom Colicchio and wanted to try Craft. It completely exceeded our expectations. The meal was fantastic. Portion sizes are large and easily shareable. The scallops and sea bass were incredible. Scallops literally melted in my mouth. The mushrooms were delightful and the scallop potatoes had the most creamy and delicious cheesy sauce, wow! But the chocolate soufflé⦠there are no words. Truly out of this world. Also, I must say the staff were lovely! They were so sweet and warm and were not the least bit âstuffy.â Even though the food is more up scale, the staff clearly wanted everyone to feel comfortable. Our server was also very knowledgeable and was confident in his recommendations. And it paid off because everything he recommended was remarkable! Every single person from the server to the staff pouring our water to the staff cleaning up our dishes were incredibly attentive and kind. I canât wait to return!"

"The minute you walk in your transported to another time, it’s so classic and elegant inside. We were seated promptly and our server was wonderful. We started with fresh oysters and they were delicious, I especially loved the sauce pairings. My husband and I each had a NY strip and shared the twice baked potato, absolute perfection. We finished off with cappuccino and the chocolate cake, so so good! Highly recommend."

"We had guests travel in from other states to have the holiday brunch. We walked into the main room and there wasn’t ONE holiday decoration. Not a tree. No lights. Nothing festive. What a let down. Charge people almost $200 each (including mandatory tip) and have NOTHING cheery, Christmas inspiring or uplifting. I asked why the lack of any decorations and I was told there was a wedding the night before so they couldn’t decorate the room. In previous brunches, they’ve had live musicians a feature that made the experience special. For the holiday brunch no musicians and some canned music. They did have a Santa Claus. Shame on the Rainbow Room for cheaping out and not making a Christmas (very expensive) brunch feel special."
