"McAlister's has long been a favorite place to eat. I love how the potato chips used to cover the plate. I used to order the muffaletta, my favorite sandwich from just about anywhere. Those features are long gone, but they have always, in all the states where I've eaten at McAlister's, had the best tasting tea. It's phenomenal. I ordered the Crunchy Turkey sandwich, mainly out of curiosity. It was quite good, the crunch, and a little heat, coming from jalapeno potato chips on a sandwich of turkey, bacon, and avocado. It's a good combination of flavors and texture on the ciabatta bread. Instead of covering the plate with chips anymore, the only viable side I saw was potato salad, which was flavorless overall.This store had good service with friendly staff."

"I had a fun lunch at the downtown Izzy's restaurant with my daughter today. She really misses their Reuben getta sandwich since moving from Cincinnati to Silver Spring MD last year. We easily found a parking spot around the corner. My daughter had ordered ahead of time it was ready when I got to the pickup counter. Their sourdough bread is great but I substituted a potato pancake and then 2 for the bread. The getta really makes the the sandwich great! The potato pancakes are so tasty. The service was very good and friendly. Refills extra food was encouraged. #izzys @yelpdc #reubens #getta"

"Slow service. Dried out ribs.I called ahead for a slab of ribs. When I got there they said I could wait for 1 hr for more ribs. What happened to this place? It used to be good. Cornbread all dried out. It should be called Badies. Cashier didn't get 2 1 2 slabs of ribs on our original order."
