"I was really looking forward to a pint and a meal at Falling Sky while visiting Eugene. I met a friend, but the sign out front said, Closed for Private Event. Sure looked like nobody was in there. We should have taken it as an omen and went someplace else, but I was hankerin ' some Falling Sky. We went to the Pour House Deli. Mistake. I asked about the other location. The cashier said they are short staffed so don 't open until later in the day. Too bad the sign didn 't say that. The Shwarzbeer was good. Since we were at the deli rather than the brewery, I decided to go for the Reuben with house-made corned beef. It was supposed to come with a side. They charged me extra for the side. WTF? The sandwich wasn 't even that good, and it was a bit soggy by the time they served it. I was grateful they had outdoor seating. It was like an ice box in the restaurant, and they had some truly awful music playing way too loud. Yeah, we should have just left before ordering. Neither of us felt all that well after we ate. I am sad to say I don 't think I 'll go back. It used to be so good. They also used to have specials. No specials were offered, and the prices sure seemed a lot higher than I remember. Lesson learned the hard way. I 'll be back in Eugene in the next month or so. I miss many of the dining options from when I was there more often. Now there 's one that I don 't reckon I 'll keep on that list."
