"I was born in the opposite and my parents cook great local cuisine best. So, today, when I returned to Swabian hall I want real home-style food, best served in the quality my family. Swabian hall has many, many good...restaurants, but for me the waldhorn in sulzdorf (about 6 km from Swabian hall) serves the best to eat. 28 years the owners run here and they didn't change anything. they even serve sour stem with roasted potato. they prepare everything fresh, no shopping late, no finished kartoffels. only homemade food. if you want to taste real food from the opposite, there is no other choice than the waldhorn in sulzdorf (respect, there is another restaurant waldhorn in Swabian hall, which is absolutely not the same.) the prices are very, very reasonable. we had 2 suppen, 2 main courses, 1/4 l. wein and some apfelschorle at eur 34.00"

"We had just arrived in Schwabisch Hall and happily came across this café - there were only 3 dishes on the lunch menu so we decided to order them all and share them between the 2 of us. From what I can gather the menu is constantly changing but to give you an idea: we had a green asparagus soup, a quinoa salad with advocado and radish and lastly green polenta with fried mushrooms and potato - all 3 dishes were very yummy, fresh and well prepared. We also had some refreshing freshly squeezed fruit juices to accompany. The only slight downside is that there are no toilets on site BUT! there are some excellent public toilets just up the road. They also do breakfast and dinner, as well as catering."

"Since we arrived to this restaurant, we felt uncomfortable for the way the waiter treated us. We should have left in that very moment. Unfortunately, we stayed. Besides waiting around minutes for our food, the experience with this same waiter was terrible. It's the...first time I've felt so disappointed since I live in Germany. I am not sure if it was because we're just young students, or because we're not german. So probably not the typical clients, but this is NOT an excuse to irrespect us. Ironic comments like: "don't you learn to close the door in your country or "you eat very slow" are some examples. He seemed to be annoyed by the fact that I did not order anything to drink, or because of us chose vegetarian options. He was definitely annoyed because one of my friends wanted to pay her food with her credit card, and also because we did not want to leave tips. Should we have left him a tip after all his annoying comments and waiting so long for our food? I don't think so. There are way to say things, and this man has NO CLUE of what service is. I am really surprised this restaurant, which honestly looks quite nice, has this type of employees. At least the bathroom is super clean and the food had a nice taste, it's the only reason this would not be a cero-rated review"
