"Went to the Belmont for a meal and night out and it exceeded my expectations. Meals where lovely (Thai Beef salad highly recommended! went up to the rooftop to finish the night and we all had a ball! Highly recommend! Thanks for having us!"

"This evening had a meal in the clarendon, as a result of picking up a “two for a voucher” from a magazine at the railway station. was greeted by a beautiful dame at the door that showed us on our table. the decor and ambiente was nothing to write home, but I wasn't there for the landscape, I was there for the tucker. very simple order at the bar and pay at the bar type set up, but I'm okay with it. I ate a Mexican parmigiana, while the handicapper on the nasi goreng descended from the special limit. the parma was in order without being brilliant, beautiful size with enough topping. chips were good. salat very average. "Stopped by this gem on the way back from a river run, and Newtown, you've done it again. Tucked away on the chronically busy West Fyans St, just past the Latrobe Terrace junction, Burko's offers great coffee and spectacularly good food, locally sourced and prepared. Street parking outside's a bit of a squeeze (we ignored the 15 min only this time), but plenty of room inside on the tables and window stools. Beautiful and warm on a chilly day, we bypassed the healthy options and went the Reuben sandwich. Perfect brisket, melted cheese, pickles, and a light tangy mayo, it certainly hit the spot. Coffees were on the money, great to see cappuccino available in a smaller cup and not a bucket! Service was friendly, quick, and informative, and there were some neat sounds in the background, giving it a real funky feel.Tables also available outside for the brave, wines for those of you up for a long lunch, so if you're part of the morning or lunch time crawl through this part of town, stop in, sit down, order up, and watch the traffic. You'll be glad you did."
