"We had difficulty understanding the few negative opinions... We loved their cuisine, both in the quality of products and in the subtlety of seasonings. "This is a genuine, old-fashioned, beautiful, elegant, uncompromising small French restaurant. The food is traditionally French, traditionally excellent with no dumbing down for the masses. The crockery, silverware and napkins are first class. When my loud American colleague ordered a diet Coke, they put it in a silver bucket so as not to offend the sensibilities of the other diners. The wine list matches War and Peace for length, but the sommelier (who may also be le patron) suggested a wine to match our meal and it was so perfect I wrote down the name of the wine. And promptly lost it. You'll need to speak French and be the right side of 60 to appreciate this little gem properly. This is how French restaurants used to be before creeping internationalism removed their souls. Go before it's too late. It's marvellous."
