"We were there with an american friends and wanted to offer him something special. The fondue was lousy, the bread hard, we could almost not eat it. It was a very un- pleasant experience."

"We went for dinner as they offered a wide selection of pizzas and at least 3 types of pizzas for vegetarians. We didn't have long to wait and our pizza came it was good, they offer chili oil that is a favorite and... the pizzas themselves had good taste. The base was not too thick and generous with the topping. I'm glad we gave this place a try and would like to go back here if in Chur. Prices are not cheap but standard for Switzerland."

"One of the things we enjoy doing when we are on holiday is selecting places to eat. Arriving in Chur on a Sunday afternoon in late December, the fabulous Chur Tourist Office had a helpful map of places to eat open on Sunday evening. We've...been to Chur a number of times before so we knew of some of the places, but hadn't come across the Va Bene until this year. It is a few minutes walk away from the centre but on sitting down that evening, the restaurant was very full which we took to be a good sign. We were not disappointed. The welcome was charming and the food was excellent. I would echo all the comments of the previous reviewer. The ambience, presentation of the food, taste, wine list, service were all excellent. We also found the set menu to be of excellent value for the quality of the food we had. We were delighted that we could book a table for the final night of our stay and if anything, the food was even better! A special word of praise for the staff, I wish I had made a note of their names so I could put them in this review, they deserve it! We are already look forward to our next trip to Chur, a return to the Va Bene (at least one) will certainly be part of it."

"We were actually staying in the hotel and were not planning on eating in the same place. Since it was sunday we found out a lot of Well rated places are closed so we decided to stay in.We ordered pizokel, a traditional dish from the region and a piek schnitzel. The pizokel was delicious but the big portion is quite small. The schnitzel with fries was enourmous and so Well made!! Very tender meat, the fries and meat were not fatty at all.We topped off with a home made schoggimousse, a wonderful night :)"

"This restaurant has good food and a wide array of tasty drinks. Declaration of what is in the food is very well shown in the menu card, that its easy to see what to choose if one is vegan or gluten intolerant. The price range...is fair, as we are in Switzerland : . They serve smaller portions for children at a fair price and are very friendly. I especially like their cold organic drink choices from iced tea to lemonades. The seating area is cozy under the trees and cool even on hot summer days and is quiet even if it a stone throw away from the train station."

"The restaurant, located in the old town, is completely in whites and creams, and white tablecloths, very modern in appearance. We shared a tapas plate consisting of shrimp, octopus, shellfish, ham croquettes, squid, olives, potatoes and fritatta. I recommended this place."

"Came to Chur for a day trip and found dead this restaurant while exploring. I noticed that they had my favourite speciality from the region on their card: Capuns. It was absolutely delicious and the service was super friendly even though they were very busy during lunch. Definitely recommending this restaurant and hopping to go back soon."
