"I eat regularly in our city this must be one of the best if not the best restaurant we have. fantastic menu for choice, great selection of beautiful wines. wonderful services. beautiful relaxed atmosphere. rindmeat fillet medaillon in truffle sauce must be absolute."

"We were attending a meeting at the NEC on Saturday and stayed in nearby Berkswell as it was close and convenient. As I had to work on Friday we did not arrive until early evening and booked a table with two other friends for we arrived a little late but were still given time to have a drink in the var and look at the menus before going into the dining room. The service was very personal but not intruding and the food was excellent. I would definitely recommend the restaurant.....in fact I already have and would visit the next time we are in the area"

"We have just eaten here and felt compelled to write a review straight away. The service we received from Magda was second to none. She was warm, friendly and welcoming, and went out of her way to recommend and explain dishes to us. We had the pork schnitzel with mushroom cheese, and also the cheese potato pierogis. I'd asked for them fried and when she realised I'd received boiled she immediately insisted we have them on the house whilst she arranged fried ones for me. She also brought over two packets of wafer desserts for us to try, both free of charge. We paid £22 for 2 meals and two glasses of wine, both of which were delicious. Our first visit, but definitely not our last!"

"Always fresh and tasty food. Plenty of choice and variety from breakfast items to chicken, ham, cheese sandwiches. Jacket potatoes with a wide range of fillings. The house special is a pork and stuffing batch with all the trimmings and is not to be missed."

"We haven’t been to the white lion for some time because of COVID-19 and so on. We were regulars and one point. We won’t be going back ever. The menu was very limited. We ended up having fish and chips. We thought oh well will make up with a nice dessert. No such luck. We sat for nearly 20 minutes with dirty plates in front of us while watching the two waitresses talking and talking they both looked on and saw us sat there we already said we would have dessert after. In the end we went to the bar and payed the bill. I told the waitress how long we had been waiting. Blar blar never again…."

"We popped into the restaurant/cafe on the second floor of the shopping centre as the other food court options were so ubiquitous and unappealing. The young girl who served our (very late) breakfast baps, (it was 1 pm), using the last available sausages bacon, was polite and efficient. The food was good, and hit the spot!. With a tea a coffee a well spent tenner, much better than a similar visit to a nearby Asda/Walmart last week!"
