"Me and my mum came in and just got a drink and a sausage roll. We got served by a new girl and to be honest when she spoke to us it was so blunt and with a horrible attitude it made me feel really uncomfortable, she didn’t give off any friendly vibes and a horrible atmosphere. I sat down and she brought the drink over and I waited a couple of minutes and she had forgotten to give me the sausage roll. It wasn’t that she forgot it was the way she made me feel whilst being served, there was no smile no nothing it was just such a monotone attitude and extremely blunt. I come here very often and I am normally greeted really well and really like how the staff are very polite and smile so I am fairly disappointed with this woman service that I had as it did make an effect with how I felt afterward."

"I think this cafe has been taken over by a different company which explains why our lunch was perfectly acceptable. We both had jacket potatoes which were extremely good (I am not usually a potato lover so to say I enjoyed this is extremely rare! . The weather was fine enough to eat outside and the view over the lake and the activities of the water fowl made it an even better experience. I suggest you ignore the previous reviews and give it a try as it is a lot better than many places we have eaten."

"Decided to try out the new chef at The Tall Ships. Went for a Sunday roast, and what a fabulous meal we had. Roast beef with all the trimmings cooked to perfection, fully/crispy roasters and a lovely selection of fresh veggies. So much food we couldn’t even clear our plates. We will definitely be coming back very soon 10/10"

"The Fountain Inn in Gloucester is situated in a nice part of the city centre, very near the beautiful cathedral. The interior of the pub really does, as advertised, look like a country pub. It's small inside but has two dining areas, so for meals it accommodates more than appears to be the case on first impression. The food is absolutely first rate quality and a very reasonable price. Whilst the pub feels warm and inviting and the other patrons we meet are often friendly, as regular visitors we've unfortunately found that the same can occasionally not be said for many of the staff. Whilst service at the bar is usually quick and we're tended to at table very diligently, many of the staff, regardless of age, can be monosyllabic when spoken to, can come across as sullen and can occasionally even be quite rude and brusque in response to friendly enquiries or order requests especially when they're busy. This is a shame for a pub which otherwise faultless."

"Lovely fish and Chips all served by friendly family. Do some cod bites which young ones love too. Would defo recommend you try the RavRav Burger, spicy with the smokey grilled taste. Reasonable on the wallet. Now a regular visitor"

"Fish chips standard order very long wait, even though shop not over busy Chips overcooked, more batter than fish and was chewy Ordering system confusing, given a ticket with a number not all staff using the numbering system, some were calling out orders which caused confusion between customer orders Wont be visiting again"
