"You should take the trouble and find this place! It is about 5 minutes' walk from Big Square of Sibiu. They sell TRADITIONAL cakes! And because it's hard to find, they don't seem to have many customers. Too bad, because the place is a jewel! A guide, please warm up the cakes (which are made by a beautiful, really friendly senior lady) before serving them, and serve them hot! You're the best!"

"We had a big party, 16 persons, prebooked . The person who called himself manager was busy eating on another table all night long, even if the terrace was full. The waiter was very profesional, very good in his job, even if he was busy. Our service was delayed because the waiter was very busy.The manager, never approach any table, even tough the restaurant was completely full and lots of big parties.The young gentelmen who sits next to the blonde lady, seems to be very busy having dinner and enjoying his night.When i complaint about this, the answer was " my manager is off duty". So?????? Who was the manager that time??????? The waiter and the foid were excellent."

"Cozy atmosphere, quiet location, beautiful terrace, great food, reasonable prices. Very nice way to spend some quality time. The service was good but a bit slow. Do make sure you try out the cheese dumplings (papanasi), as well. :)"

"Beautiful atmospehere. Location amazing. The food is delicious, although there are not si many options. The staff is really polite and friendly, the service quick. Prices are moderately high. I recommend the salad with grilled goat cheese and the duck steak and the hummus appetizer....The rose limonade is also delicious!"

"Every time we visit Sibiu, we make sure to visit Crama Ileana for a good, hearty meal of traditional Transylvanian cuisine. Frankly, it would be well worth it for either the great food or the beautiful decor but for both? It would be a shame...not to go there and to risk paying more for less somewhere else! This time, my partner had the ciorba de burte (tripe soup) with a side of sour creme and fresh farmhouse bread. This was followed by de-boned chicken breasts, tenderized after ordering (we could hear them battering away in the kitchen) and grilled on the charcoal grill, served with chips with melted cheese, salad and pickled cucumbers. I had a delicious vegetable soup made with cabbage, green beans, peas, potatoes, carrots, onions, tomatoes and lots of parsley, eaten together with more fresh bread. My main dish was a iahnie de fasole (a very filling bean stew with tomatoes, onions, red peppers, carrots, garlic, paprika, thyme and bay leaves), boiled potatoes with fried onions and a delicious varza calita (cabbage fried with onions, black pepper, bay leaves, thyme and paprika). The service was very good -fast, attentive and very professional. The atmosphere was wonderful and the prices were very reasonable indeed for such good food in such a lovely destination location. "It's almost full everytime and the serving is very bad. It's like if you lived in the comunist era they will hire you here. They have good Romanian traditional food, but I would really recomend to go to the other restaurant up the hill. I think i'ts called hanul Tulghies."
