"We were in Villa de Leyva for a family wedding and a group of us stopped by Gabriel's Gastro bar for breakfast. The service was good but the food was disappointing. Amongst other things, we ordered a portion of fruit, which ended up being a poorly served serving of papaya, pineapple and off-grapes. We were very disappointed with our experience here."

"Visited the restaurant the first evening that we arrived in VDL. The menu itself looked phenomenal, we opted for the burger- with help from our host, Simon. I think he is the owner. Would recommend this as a must for anyone visiting the town."

"Dimos alli por casualidad... pero la experiencia fue deliciosa. Es atendido por una pareja de españoles muy atentos... Las tapas son super home made pero con un sabor espectacular. Me encanto, aunque es sencillo, se siente como en Barcelona."

"This is trying to be Colombian with a twist but failing. It wasn't busy for dinner so we ordered two local dishes. Basically meat cooked indifferently with potatoes and rice, salad came a bit later. We left much of it, when it came to the bill it was wrong, 55000 for 5500, and then took an age to Corcyra. Then they couldn't take cards because the line was down. Frankly the staff just weren't on it for what looked like 3 tables to serve"

"We saw the "Almuerzo de la Arue" advertised on a chalk board outside what looked like a very pretty courtyard high end restaurant. The "menu" lunch was ajiaco soup, I picked the pescadero a la grillo which came with home made sliced fried potatoes and a fresh green salad and rice. The fish was beautifully lightly grilled tilapia. Service was excellent. Atmosphere delightful. Total price, including a glass of jugo de feijoa (no translation) an amazing value of 10,000 columbia pesos each! 5 usd."
