"I was traipsing along the streets of Bourges, hoping to find a quiet, accommodating place to have some coffee and lunch. The bistros nearby seemed too smoky and loud, and the patisseries/boulangeries didn 't serve coffee. (One place had a coin op machine for espresso drinks. No....Just no. I came to Delichou and had a fantastically delicious tarte du jambon et fromage, and coffee. The atmosphere is perfect for me: gentle solo guitar/harp/jazz playing on the system (as opposed to the techno one finds all too often in cafes in Paris the proprietress was extremely friendly and gracious, and the clientele has been very friendly I 'm sitting near the door and everyone has nodded to me saying, 'Bonjour, Monsieur. ' And, according to what my nose is telling me, someone is roasting a turkey in the kitchen. If it isn 't turkey it 's something else equally delicious smelling. For a cafe experience in Bourges, one can not do better than Delichou."

"Visited on Sunday noon. Restaurant in a quiet atmosphere, conducive to conversations. The reception is pleasant, the head of the room is cordial, attentive and effective. The menu is rich, there are for all tastes, both classic dishes and brewery (special lion for the fish chips). The products are good, excellent cuisine and copied dishes. We'll be back."

"Très belle déco, endroit propre, accueil correct mais sans plus.Les prix sont raisonnables, clairement on cherchait à manger un bon burger de qualité et à première vue sur le plateau tout à l'air appétissant!Les frites ont l'air de frites fraîches,après le sont elles?quant au burger le pain est bon mais le steak est décongelé avec un mauvais goût...Le cheese cake en dessert n' à rien d'un cheese cake il est très gras et très sucré impossible à terminer.Bref très déçus..."

"Dans une petite maisonnette située aux portes de la ville vs serez reçus par la maîtresse de maison qui vs accueillera sans chichis et vs proposera un menu unique à 19 euros pour un vendredi soir ( entrée plat fromage et desser eau minérale gratuite). Produits frais du terroir. Un très bon dessert avec myrtilles et mirabelles de la région. Pas de micro onde, de congélateur, que du frais. Prix des vins très accessible. Excellent rapport qualité prix!"

"You can't entirely blame chefs and restauranteurs for wanting to spend time with their families-and why not on Sundays and holidays? But whether you are in Paris or most small cities finding a restaurant open on those days is a challenge. They should follow the example of Pharmacists and make sure there is some coverage.With the reviews lining up like a vertical cliff, equally from poor to excellent, we approached this place with some trepidation. It quickly filled up on a holiday weekend Sunday with local familieis, there being few choices.One efficient and gracious waitress had to cope with a full restaurant of more than a dozen tables-and did so quite well. It is a Formica/composite table and paper placemat sort of place, serving mostly pichets of decent but generic wine. We ordered scalloped veal which came with a salad and potatoes. While the meat was a little tough, the mushroom sauce was delicious and the potatoes and salad were quite satisfactory.Would we rush back? No. But the modestly priced meal was offered at fair value and everything was cooked to order. They offer good, simple fare. There is a time and place for that."
