"Tacos and delicious qusadillas, authentic flavors, a good place to break the crust without falling into the junk hotdog-poutine-burger. A forced stop if I pass through Baie-St-Paul.Just a small flat, I would have been there at least 3 times more during the summer, but the times I went there (dinner time) but the opening hours are limited."

"Food is one of the things that brought us to Quebec City and Charlevoix. It's not that we're foodies, per se, but both Casey and I love to eat. But only if the food is good. Luckily for us, the food at Le Bercail is...simply great. We started with a tomato bruschetta served with thin slices of fresh baguette and crostini. The bread and crostini were perfect, and the bruschetta would've been as well, had it not been taken chilled, right out of the fridge. That said, despite being chilled, it was still surprisingly flavourfulServed at room temperature, it would've been perfect. Casey opted for a fish cake served on a bed of celery remoulade and a small green salad. The fish cake was plump, juicy and utterly delicious. The remoulade was spot on, and the mixed greens proved a perfect, refreshing accompaniment. I opted for the beef tartare which came with more freshly sliced baguette and an arugula salad. It was, hands down, the best tartare I've had in ages, if not eons. The meat was perfectly handcut, mixed with a rich, creamy homemade mayonnaise and lightly seasoned with, among other things, capers. For dessert, Casey ordered the delicious dark chocolate brownie served on a bed of tart, cassis coulis. I loved my crème brûlée a la vanille which, thankfully, was not too sweet. Kudos all around. The chefs really know their way around the kitchen, and our waiter was prompt, polite and very well informed."

"Une carte un peu sommaire, mais de belles assiettes. Nous avons dégusté les mises en bouche et entrées avant de se délecteur de la raclette suisse montagnarde, servie dégoulinante directement de la meule sur nos pommes de terre grelots,accompagnée de charcuteries goûteuses. Et ce qui ne gâte rien, l'apéro offert par le proprio du vignoble de tomates Omerto, avec en plus le Limoncello glacé offert gracieusement au digestif par la maison. Et on y apporte son vin. Belle expérience. Contents de notre virée à Baie-St-Paul."

"While passing through Baie-St-Paul I really wanted to visit the Charlevoix Microbrewery, but unfortunately it was closed. Instead, we made our way to the Saint-Pub, which is affiliated with the aforementioned microbrewery, for a little tasting session. They have a rolling stock of 8 different beers out of a total selection of about 15 products. The possibility to order a 4- or 8- galopins (125ml) was very appreciated as I was able to taste all their beers. I especially enjoyed the Double IPA Barbe Rouge, but overall all their product were good, despite not being over-the-top. The terrace is quite large and has a great view of the beautiful Saint-Jean-Baptiste Street and its plentiful art galleries. I definitely recommend stoping for a fresh one if you ever are in the surroundings."
