"For several years on the dach terrace of ox cart, so it was always a favorite in lowertown. our experience tonight was not great. the drinks were good and eating was good, so no complaining about the quality of their product, but the service was honestly pretty bad. it was a pretty busy night (Friday with a Saints game) so recognize the added business, but my friend and I sat at least two hours at the bar and literally never had a barkeeper actiw to ask us if we needed anything. we ordered three round drinks, two round dishes and eat, and each time we had to order someone down. I get that it was busy, but only one barkeeper has ever served us and the other has ignored us actiw / would not make any eye contact. not a good opportunity to return the charitable business, and hope they train their employees better forward. To be honest, if someone is connected to this facility, it reads: we wanted to give you money, and you wouldn't take it. that literally hurts her business."

"What the hell is this place? And how do I make it my home?! Flat Earth, now St Paul Brewing, is always a reliable yummy brew choice. Been drinking every year when we visit MSP. But this masterpiece. What the H-E-Double hockey sticks!? In the formerHamm's brewery (that alone is a cool as heck fact), walk through the doors, order a beer, and continue to the back patio.Massive with endless nooks and crannies, you'll find a gold mine of visual interest and design mastery. An aesthetic partAmerican Pickers part Flea Market Flip part abandoned warehouse part back street Lebanon. So many things. Daytime is surelycool, but hit the patio up after the sun goes down and the string lights glow... and what is that? A canoe on fire?! Pure beer???? magic."

"My husband and I were visiting Saint Paul for the weekend and decided to visit the Handsome Hog for late lunch/early dinner on Saturday. We started with pimento cheese which I would love to have just eaten by the spoonful. My husband had the hot brown and I had the pork dip with giardiniera. These were delicious. They were piled high with meat. We also had hush puppies which were very soft with a perfect crunch on the outside. The portions are very filling. I also had an Old Fashion. They make them properly with the single large cube. The wait staff were very attentive. Before leaving the GM came over to chat with us and suggested that we come by for brunch on Sunday. We usually never go back to the same restaurant when we are traveling but we decided to break our rule this time. For brunch we started with a bloody mary for my husband and bacon old fashioned for myself. The Bloody Mary was topped with a rib, pickled okra, a pepper, and pickled onion. The bacon old fashioned is a nice smoky twist on this classic beverage. We had the chicken and waffles, the eggs benedict, and the brisket hash. My favorite of those was the hash. The brisket was absolutely melt in your mouth perfection and the medley of sweet potatoes, corn and such were a beautiful and enticing base to scoop up the hollandaise sauce with. The chicken on the chicken and waffles was crispy and the perfect compliment to the sweet and fluffy waffles. I highly recommend the Handsome Hog and will definitely be back the next time we are in St Paul."

"Had dinner before a play at the Ordway. My girlfriend and I split the pretzels and a Reuben with fries. Both were very good. They had the game on and we were in and out. We'll be back for sure."

"I was here for food and drink, and both are excellent. Beautiful selection of beer on tap and lots of alcohol for cocktails or simple shots. The curled chicken is a comfort food favorite, and I personally love the 'pizza rolls' appetizer for a quick bite to eat. Fast, friendly service and a comfortable atmosphere that makes it easy to relax and spend as much time as you want here."

"The Creole Market Hash add bacon was fantastic! The posing egg perfectly boiled. High quality bacon. Several items in the menu looked good. Worth waiting, but a reservation would be recommended next time."
