"This restaurant is only open on Thursday's...one day a week. It has become the local hot spot for tourists and locals alike. They have the best Pozoli anywhere i have found in Mexico. (Pozoli is a soup that comes in different degrees of spicey and can be pork or chicken.) They have food other than Pozoli as well, but that is not the reason to go there. The Mezcal is worth every bit as much as the soup. It is not the normal Mezcal you would get in Mexico...much better! Get there early when the tourist crowd arrives...12:00pm-1:00pm. By 1:30pm there will be a line to get in. The music is awesome as well. Juanito leads off with his group followed by another famous (name?) singer and then back to Jaunito. You will not regret a visit to this place!"

"Located just outside of the main part of Zihua, this restaurant was recommended to us by more than a few of the locals. We went on pozole Thursday to check it out and it certainly didn't disappoint their version is quite tasty and rich. Someone else ordered enchiladas verdes and they were fantastic. Nice open space with live music on that particular visit. Lots of Zihua residents we were the only gringos there. Worth a cab ride, although it is walkable from La Madera."

"We found this little gem totally by accident. We literally were walking pass, I just happened to glance in and saw this old, magical courtyard nestled in an authentic Mexican pueblo! The setting is wonderful. We had the Chili en Nogadas. They were scrumptious. We will be going back."

"Cenaduria Callita in cenaduria alley; just ask is not a place we would typically try,but...glad we did. Unassuming restaurant in an alley filled with cenadurias . Callita was recommended as a place the locals go for antojitos, or little cravings. Saturday evening and the restaurant looked clean. We sat, ordered drinks, and received prompt, friendly service. Food: good to excellent pozole, enchiladas verdes, guacamole, and baked sweet potatoe. Sounds pretty mundane, but it was among one of the best meals in our month long vacation. Wish we had more time to sample other antojitos."
