"I dined with here a week ago now. It was meant to be a very special occasion and it was ruined. We were told different things about the menu by different staff, which is frustrating when trying to order. Some things on the menu were not available, but this was not pointed out to us until we tried to order them, meaning an even longer unnecessary wait. The food was lovely, when we did eventually get it, as the wait time was quite long. We had ordered a white wine, the wrong wine was brought to the table twice. First a rose was presented to us, second was another rose, eventually we got the white wine. Shortly after this, we seen the same thing happen to a table next to us, they were presented with the same rose when they ordered a red. My mother went to ask for the bill and was told it would be dropped to the table. We sat and waited, with no sign of the bill. Eventually a waitress came to the table with a card machine, and acted surprised we had not received the bill, despite it being some time. This is not the first time we have left here disappointed. Unfortunately, I contacted The Black Bull over a week ago and have yet to hear back from them."

"Good food and a lovely setting, especially the outdoor beer garden. Steak pie and the availability of Gluten Free fish and chips (which my friend was over the moon at) were good choices."

"We enjoy calling in local Lancashire pubs to have a drink and today was the turn of blackbull ribchester, its an old pub dating back to the 1700,s, parking across the road in car park, very friendly pub and does a small menu of food. We just had a drink and some crisps."
