The meat/seafood/poultry was present in a good amount compared with other restaurants which offer small pieces of meat and overdo the onion, sauce, carrot and cheaper ingredients. Service was quiet but attentive. A safe site for families and elderly diners."

"One of my chinese born customers who resides in North Balwyn told me her family quietly celebrated new year's eve at a small BYO, a local bistro, Kim Crown, and so that evening after work I dropped by at the establishment with a bottle of french sauvignon blanc (for a glass) and was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the fresh seafood, and service from the attentive proprietor, Joe, and staff. I had never tried prawn crackers sprinkled with peanuts in their red skins and it was a new taste delight, presented complimentary as I waited for my main course. The crackers and peanuts went well with the dry french wine. I had ordered seafood on crispy noodles and was very pleasantly surprised to find the rockling and peeled prawns with their tails on were fresh and not frozen. I didn't think food of this quality was served outside the CBD. It was a hot evening and a pleasant conclusion to a long work day."
