"I have never felt the need to review a restaurant until today. It took 45 minutes to be served and when the food did arrive it was underwhelming to say the least. Okay food but for the price it was very disappointing. I would NOT recommend this place at all. For £80 we were essentially served freezer standard food with no real taste or finesse. To top it off we were asked twice (and pretty rudely) verbally if we were going to tip, very strange place"

"I have been going here for years , it is a lovely place to eat, the food is delicious, cooked how you want it ,ie steaks , it is always very well presented on the plate and always hot . The ambience is delightful very cosy and welcoming, the staff are absolutely lovely and very helpful and friendly."

"Came with high hopes after a refurbishment but left disappointed. The food wasn’t bad but nowhere near where it was a few years ago. The comfy sofas in the bar have been replaced by (too many) rough pub chairs and tables, likely to create more covers, but with only two staff to do all the serving and the bar, it seemed rather pointless and it had reached the level of joking with other customers about the delays. I’m not going to criticise those working there as they were obviously doing the best they could but whoever owns/manages this establishment needs to take a long, hard look at what they want achieve. There are plenty of much better places in every respect around the local area..."

"Ordered a take a way the person read the order back but when it turned up sone of the order wasnt there ,phoned the takeaway back sent the rest of the order had to pay again wanted to pay by card but the delivery guy wasnt helpfull and took the order back had to go to the shop to do it in which time the food was cold . Have used the takeaway for 15 years very poor and the person on the counter thought it was funny . STAY AWAY !!!"

"Came here with my boyfriend last Sunday for dinner, we didnt book but decided to have an early dinner. It was lush! We didnt think it was open because it was empty when we walked in but they were friendly and ready to seat us. We were served poppadums and the chutneys which had a sweet white onion and red sauce dip which ive never had before and was lovely. We ordered and i had a tandoori king prawn massala, my boyfriend had a king prawn bhuna and we shared pilau rice, garlic naan, onion bhaji and sag aloo (nicest ive had and i dont even like it usually! between us and it was all so tasty and fresh. I finally found somewhere that serves a king prawn dish well with no tails and that for me sold it. The atmosphere was OK, kids were behind the bar area (well behaved and there was only 2 other couples in there with us by the time we finished with music playing which was nice. Service was great, our waiter was really sweet and very attentive give it a try!!"

"The food was nicely presented and hot we couldn't fault the food. The lamb chop starter was nice a bit spicy for my husband's, the leek and potato soup was fresh and filling, and the somosa's were lovely. The mains fish platter and fish and chips were nice and fresh the curry was nice and full of flavour, the sausage and mash was nice although the mash was not fresh."
