"The welcoming staff were very pleasant and efficient. We ordered our meals. My husbands entree came very quickly, followed by our main meals. I understand chips are hard to come by at the moment but there is no excuse for serving burnt and damaged chips. Mine was absolutely disgusting. The 'salad ' on our plates was just a lettuce mix, no thing else. Very disappointing. My steak was just beautiful but the rest of the meal was well below standard. Disapponted!"

"I now live in Auckland in NZ for career, but every week I pine for the taste of rakuu. I also visited Japan in 2016, Tokyo and Kyoto and tried alot of food I love Okonomiaki! . Now that I've tried sushi in NZ's biggest city and in Japan itself, I can say easily from my very anecdotal experience that rakuu is the best sushi in the southern hemisphere, and has to be among the best in the world. Simple beauty, made possible by calm, coastal living. The Tempura Prawn rolls are just perfection. 6 stars would be more appropriate."
