"I and my wife came here after we found out it was under new management. they've done a lot of effort to turn around the place. when we came, the menu was advertised, but not living. it saw a good value for money and we were looking forward to trying it out! the bar staff was very friendly, but there was a lot of atmosphere. it was big, empty and felt like there weren't enough furniture (or maybe people) to fill the empty space. but we will try to eat it!"

"I was looking for an authentic Thai food restaurant with good reviews and found this gem. We took the train from Leicester especially based on the reviews and so that we could have a drink and feel relaxed. What a charming place Sonny’s is. Simplistic,...modern surroundings and charming and engaging staff. We had the tempura king prawns and fish cakes to start, followed by a King prawn red curry and King prawn noodle dish. The flavours, ingredients and balance of flavours were wonderful. I wish we had a similar restaurant in Leicester and I’d definitely dine here again."

"We had a very enjoyable takeaway meal from Cantonese Kitchen last night the aromatic duck was excellent (helpfully already shredded) and the soft noodles with King Prawns were very much enjoyed. Delicious Capital Spare Ribs (succulent not overly spicy).The chilli and salt squid was really enjoyable. We found the portion sizes to be generous overall felt that it was a very good value meal. The service was friendly, really helpful and without doubt we certainly make a return visit."

"Close to a one star. We had a delivery and it was luke warm on arrival despite us being only a mile down the road. The food quality was terrible. The prawns in the prawn curry were tiny and looked more like shrimp. The chicken was tiny chinks of what tasted like frozen processed chicken from the supermarket. The sauces were ok but bland. We also had the mixed grill which was at least ok but the flavours again not great. Portions were tiny across the board. I understand the food is inexpensive when ordered from the app. but the minimum criteria has it be that it beats what we could do at home and this was nowhere near that. We really were looking forward to trying this out since it’s our local so it’s disappointing to have to write a review like this. My advice would be to put your prices up a few per dish and focus on quality ingredients and flavours."

"Lotus tang is one of the small hidden Chinese in loughborough I have never been before and we ordered sesame prawn toast fried rice chicken balls with curry sauce and lotus tang house special chow mine and some crispy seet that eating was absolutely amazing and if someone gets the chance to eat here I would highly recommend it 5 stars"
