"Can’t fault this place on anything. We’ve been a few times now over them years and the standard does not change 5 stars every time. Small menu all executed brilliantly and brilliant staff. Couldn’t recommend enough."

"Whilst visiting friends last year who live a few miles away from this place we decided to partake of a bar supper and a pint of ale. On arrival there were two police officers in the car park trying to stop two drunk thugs from murdering each other. Within 30 minutes of entering the pub a second incident broke out between two idiots who had also downed more than there share. Generally disappointed with service whilst ordering our beer, got the impression the staff were wholly uninterested in impressing us with even a smile . Decided not to stay and eat. My view is avoid at all costs."

"Always a warm welcome here, the food is always great I loved the Cheung Bau with the nuts crumbled into the batter not had that before. Highly recommended."

"The last time we went to an Indian restaurant was Itihaas in Dalkeith. There I had a lovely lamb dish that I’d never seen before: lamb shatkora. Shatkora are Bengali citrus fruits with a strong, limey, bitter flavour. They are wonderful in savoury dishes and I was very excited to find shatkora on the menu of Voujon when we went there last week. Voujon is a restaurant in Newington that specialises in Indian and Bengali food. The interior is fresh and open, with large windows at the front. We arrived early and had time for a gin and tonic, popadoms and pickles while we made our selection from the menu. "Got this as a delivery. Several chicken dishes, spring rolls, bbq spareribs. The meals were all uninspiring, and at their base, tasteless. The restaurant tries to make up for that with thick and copious sauces which were too thick, bland and unappetising. I guess my search for a good chinese restaurant that delivers in Edinburgh continues."
