"Every venue/ whatever starts with 5 ! We had regularly visited the Chase between 2016 and 2021 when we moved away. Definitely a for us. Lovely couple running it, fabulous scenery from the patio, well kept bear and lovely food. Today, we detoured specifically to visit for old times' sake; it appears the Chase is under new management. . Welcoming friendly staff. . Still a good beer. But: the food has really gone downhill. Two issues today, first off one meal we ordered from the menu turned from bear battered scampi to backed scampi with cajun sauce on salad. We did query and the waitress admitted there was a typo on the menu and kindly offered to get some battered scampi. Not good really as the rest of us had got our meals already. secondly, and this is the really dodgy bit, the food was really bad, I'm not a picky person and have never returned a meal, they really need to employ someone who can cook. I had fish and chips, most of which were inedible due to gross overcooking of both the fish and the chips. No excuse for this, they weren't even particularly busy (maybe word has got around). Really, really disappointing meal for us all."

"We sat outside to eat, and although the road can be a bit noisy, it was worth it for the views. The food was lovely, and there were several specials added to the daily menu, which all sounded good. Well worth a visit."

"Visited for our tee with the dog. beautiful meal and the staff were so friendly and could not do enough for us. Fried dog biscuits with eating, they have a nice garden at the back to sit. the renter also gave us one. lift to house. really nice people and pub with good food."

"I fought here for an early dinner. it is a very small restaurant, only 4-5 tables. we ordered as appetizers papaya salat and crispy dese salat, for all we had spicy udon meeres fruit and meeresbass for the day. as dessert homemade mango ice cream. everything tasted freshly delicious. the waitress was very friendly and attentive."

"We recently spent a week in Hereford and ate at a number of restaurants but Mediterrane stood out for us.Anyone who looks at their website and reads these reviews will know that it's an unpretentious place with a lovely, gregarious chef/owner but eating there, I wasn't expecting the best meal I can honestly remember eating anywhere!Of course these things are subjective and when I saw the ingredients in Chicken Casablanca, I knew it was to my taste, but I truly can't remember enjoying a dish more.The restaurant is well named as it really did transport us to one of the many similarly unpretentious restaurants where we have eaten on various holidays around the Med. Highly recommended and our only disappointment is that we won't be returning to Hereford in the near future so will not be able to repeat the experience."

"We ordered our food via a telephone call, and was told that we’d be able to collect in an hours time, after being satisfied with that, we arrived an hour later to be greeted with no food and told that the food would be minute wait! Only to find when we got home minutes drive) the food was cold! We won’t be going back here, the food, service and everything about this was awful!"

"That is really the best kebab I ever had in the usa! the chefs know seriously what they do! the staff was very friendly and made us very welcome. the aromen were from this world, especially if they enjoy a little spicy. I would recommend this place to everyone!"

"We have eaten here before. We noticed that prices have risen not a problem expected,but to remove the sweet from the set meal as well as raise prices isn't acceptable. Also disappointed in the sweet sour chicken the sauce was that sour it was bordering on being inedible. Won't be going back again."

"We have eaten here a few times since our last review but I think it is time to up date it...a year on ....Still great! We went as a family from age up, there was something for every one. Chicken nuggets for the youngest,...burgers looked lovely and thoroughly enjoyed! The carne pizza was delicious and big enough for us all to have a little taste! it was also Friday fish night so that included fish and chips and a bottle of wine for it was delicious and the so was the wine! They always have a selection of well kept local beers and you always get a warm welcome, it was busy with a great atmosphere. Definitely recommend for a reasonably priced but delicious evening out."
