"Will not be going again and never recommend. Been going for a few years and always had a frosty encounter by a certain female member of staff while booking or at the restaurant,I’m sure they all know which one . But the attitude while making a booking today was enough to make anyone hang up the phone .im sure no one else likes to be made to feel stupid while making a booking at a restaurant. Disgusting attitude."

"On the whole the meal was delicious (other than one split dessert which was sent back) but front of house let the side down with a catalogue of errors. They were all very young and looked to be needing direction from someone with more experience...to point them in the right direction. Firstly, when you order champagne, you do not have it served in a red wine glass! Next came the waitress trying to remove dishes while we were still eating.We then had courses where they brought the next course before clearing the table and we were asked to clear the old dishes ourselves to enable the waitress to serve the new dishes. After the meal, coffee was served at the same time as the desserts, instead of after that course was finished and the dishes removed and then we were kept waiting minutes for the check after we asked for it despite there being only tables and staff to cover these. All minor points but when you are in a higher end restaurant you certainly do not expect this catalogue of errors"

"Having read mixed reviews, I was a little dubious ordering a take away, but I was pleasantly surprised. The telephone order was taken promptly and efficiently and fifteen minutes later I collected a very nice piping hot takeaway . I will certainly be calling here...again."

"We visited The Angel Inn on a cold February Sunday for lunch and would fully recommend. The log fire was burning, the food was delicious (with generous portion sizes and good value), plus lovely local ales and cider. The service was very friendly and quick too, would 100% recommend!"

"So we went for the Christmas Festive Lunch. We don't mind waiting. But we waited quite a while. To help us wait they gave us two Christmas crackers. There was a paper hat in the cracker and suggestions on little slips of paper about how we might amuse ourselves. Not the usual crass jokes. But Hey. When our Festive menu arrived There was a bed of Turkey slices covering the horrors of what was underneath. There was a wheelbarrow of undercooked vegetables that were totally inedible. The plate was overloaded with green beans and broccoli stems both of which were not cooked properly. There is a fine line between al dente and raw. The menu mentioned pigs in blankets. OK maybe I was hoping for maybe more than one. But maybe I miss read the menu because the tiny pig in blanket was burnt and brown and so apologetic that I should have put my fork in it and insisted that it be returned to the chef and ask him to eat it. The menu also mentioned gravy. This was unseasoned and tasteless. I put salt and pepper on it but gave up. I'm really sorry here but it does get worse. The roast potatoes were not roasted. They were pale and non-descript. Roast potatoes should be golden with a crisp edginess. These were just borderline boiled potatoes. We moved here to South Wales back in 2008. We happily brought our friends to eat at the Rock and Fountain. Sadly we won't be returning any time soon."

"A very friendly, good quality and value Indian restaurant. We took youngsters there early, and all the staff were very helpful, high chairs provided and were extremely pleasant with the toddlers. Even gave them some free ice-cream! I had special fish bhuna, was really nice. All the meals were great. No complaints Definitely will return and have takeaways from here. Thank you"
